How can JFK not have a checklist to follow when enabling a station? Where were the other people who work this station? When have we ever just seen one person at a station? Where was the supervisor to sign off on ther checklist? These are not portable and are hardwired into the floor, so either it wasn't switched on or the breaker popped.

Did you know the TSA doesn't have an interview process where people make determinations/judgments about individual applicants?

I went through the process when I was 19 and looking for a part-time job. You literally just apply, take a silly test, fall in as a number on a list, they call you in to the airport, verify that you are not clinically retarded, and you're in.

You can have PHD in national security studies from Harvard and be a former Navy Seal and you won't get bumped ahead of Laquanda the shift lead at McDonalds in the pecking order of applicants.

It's unbelievable.

I know wildly intelligent and qualified people who applied on a goof, just to prove a point in an argument, and haven't heard back. It's just an amazing situation we're in.

Yes but they give the impression that they are guarding the nation's airports and will prevent any planes from being blown up. And people like Laquanda have a license to grope !
