Excellent article here about this man. He's supposed to be impartial, but represents the right-leaning Roberts contingent that is biased. He needs to resign, enabling the President to put someone in there who is far more capable.

lol @ "far more capable"

No, what you mean to say is "install a judge that is far more likely to be in line with your preference"

EVERYBODY is biased....

Now some people are REALLY biased. Which one do you fall under?

Why should he resign ? The President didn't let a little thing like a Supreme Court ruling stand in the way of HIS priorities ?

The Supreme Court has a huge problem... George Bush got his wish... It's so far slanted to the right it'll make David Duke blush...

Yeah, he should resign so Barack can install another leftist, Constitution destroying person to swing the SCOTUS to the liberal side.

I love how because of Scalia's report on the immigration decision, he's branded as a biased judge. Do people forget about the liberal side of the court with Bader-Ginsburg and Kagan/Sotomayor?

Not the question. The point is a Supreme Court Justice should not be REALLY BIASED. Seems more and more like Scalia is. That is not good for the country.

I wonder why the righties hate the Constitution so much that they applaud a man, like Scalia, who literarlly takes and shreds a copy of the Constitution every single day, and then smokes the torn up pieces, all while cursing the USA, in Italian?

Say, its rather fun to be crazy!

Anyway, while I have certainly disagreed with his reasoning in many cases (even in cases I agreed with the result) I see no reason for him to resign if he is not inclined to, and there is surely no basis for removing him. While I think he should not make political statements (like cited in the linked article) that is simply because I was brought up to believe that Justices must be above politics. However, it is clear that things are changing and that, in future, we will have more politically motivated justices. Recall, one does not even have to be a lawyer to be appointed to the Court.

Heck, even a Koch brother may be appointed in future. (crazy is fun!)
