There have been one of the largest imputs on this topic in the "official" thread but with no intention of reading 2000 posts I'm wondering what people think about the ruling. Simple poll

Yes - you support the ruling of the Supreme Court

I don't like that Congress now has the authority to tax us when we don't buy something.
Health insurance today but what tomorrow ?

Can they do the same with life insurance or long term care insurance when you get to a certain age ?
Can they do the same with this push to go green, setting a mandate and taxing you if you don't meet it ?

I can see this as a means of coercing the people to move in the direction the government wants.

And whichever party is in power gets to play this type of game on us if they so choose.

The Supreme Court ruled that Congress has a right to tax us for something we didn't buy.
This is a first, but is it the only or last ?

This ruling is over the top.. the more I think about it , I am suspicious how this ruling came down .. it could have been a strong armed tactic by Obama thugs to get the meekest looking court justice John Robert to do some writing out of the box for a conservative justice. I know Obama and he was outright infuriated that this Obamacare mandate could be voted down... the mention of taxes by Obama's lawyers was slight so this is very suspicious to me too.

Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt the meaningless rantings, which by the way is very much the topic. Do carry on...

Obama is capable of anything. I don't discount any maneuver this man would make. It is in his best interest to get this Obamacare past.. he will do ANYTHING TO STAY IN POWER!
