What do you people think about the balance of power between the policies of the president and the policies of congress?
I find it a bit difficult to put the blame solely on either Congress or President. Not to mention both of them are heavily influenced by corporations. People treat the Iraq war and the stimulus as wasteful spending but if you look into it, you'll find manipulation on these matters from an outside source; be it intelligence or banking.
As I see things, America, just like every other country throughout history, is run by the rich and powerful. That's the name of the game. Your vote and mine mean nothing. (Partially why I don't vote.)
Whether it's the president or congress doesn't really matter. Until good moral values are more important than greed and power, there's little hope for mankind.
Fortunately, I think the tide is changing. It may take another couple hundred years, but once greed and war are considered to be immoral values in America, things will really move ahead.
