Washington (CNN) -- President Barack Obama is expected to call on Congress to pass a one-year extension on the Bush-era tax cuts for people earning less than $250,000 a year.
A White House official said Obama will make the announcement Monday at the Rose Garden, surrounded by working people.

Will Romney agree or disagree with the President's position & for how long?

Another lame move to try to have his cake and eat it too.

Populist message he knows will never pass, but sounds good to the zombies.

Let's see..that's one piece of the fiscal cliff we're coming up to that he wants to "extend".
What about the $500 billion in automatic cuts ? I'll wager he addresses that one next.

Got to get everyone happy before November.

I am amazed people still listen to anything Obama says. He has a very bad record on telling the truth and yet people still believe him. Just another reason this country is beyond repair. I have a problem with believing anything a politician says.

So now it's brilliant ? I recall when they first got extended that the left was outraged that the Repubs "forced" this on Obama.

Only problem is that if he can't make good with his proposal, he'll be blamed. A leader never blames and gets away with it.

He is a liar and a fraud. The people who listen to him are brainwashed. Literally. I've been observing Obama supporters more and more (including my own family members) and they act incredibly brainwashed. When I present facts and counter arguments about what Obama has lied to them about to their accusations against the Republican Party, they respond with rhetorical statements harping back to what they claim Republicans aren't doing and how great Obama is. They do not defend him. They just go back to saying how great he is or what he will do.

My in-laws were Obama 2008 supporters and won't even go near the handle for Obama this time. They feel duped and voted for Obama due to peer pressure. Even my own wife feels similarly after pulling the lever for Obama in 2008. This is in swing state NC.
