according to this website
http://images.politico.com/global/20...y072012op.html

they only polled 939 people (page 19) throughout the whole country (bet you not one was in a area that Jews actually voted for McCain).

and there was no significant difference in polling between any region of the country (the North East finished 2nd out 4 in highest % for Obama)

Since it's very possible that in NYC McCain possibly even won the Jewish vote (he had around 25 eds where he got over 90% plus many more in both the 80% and 70%). he also got 90% in eds in Nassau, Orange, Rockland, and Ocean (NJ) counties. he clearly (look at the results) also did well with jews in many other Jewish parts of the north east.

based on these facts those polls are 100% worthless there is no way that they could even be close to accurate.

In short McCain most likely actually did much better then the polls stated he did (and the Jewish vote numbers are not worth the paper their written on).

McCain did very well among the ultra-Orthodox Jews, but he got demolished among those that aren't.

You bring up the ED's in Nassau, Obama got clobbered in those ultra-Orthodox ED's in Lawrence, however of course you don't mention S. Merrick or S. Bellmore, or Roslyn or East Hills or Jericho or Syossrt, or Plainview or Old Bethpage or the southern 2/3 of Great Neck or Woodbury or......

I'm not denying that what your saying is true but unless those Jews are infinitely more for Obama then south Florida non Orthodox Jews or the avg non Orthodox or Iranian Californian Jews are Obama's number's in the NE would be much lower then the rest of the country.

based on how the polls were conducted I would say that Obama got approximately 74% of all Jews before factoring Orthodox (McCain also won by Modern Orthodox, Russians, Iranian, ext.)

just for the record in Roslyn Obama beat McCain got 59%-40%. Woordbury voted for Obama 57.3%-42.3%. These number indicate that amongst non Orthodox/Russian ext. Jews McCain got around the same% as the polls indicate he got for all jews. There aren't enough Jewish Obama votes in the NE to sink the Orthodox votes especially when it seems that Jews who live on LI didn't vote more for Obama then jews outside of the NE.

in Order for these numbers to be true you have to prove to me that Obama pulled in the high 90's amongst Jews who demographically speaking aren't against Obama only in the NE .
