The truth is, most people are not prepared to deal with situations like these at the drop of a hat. Think about it realistically. You got a drunk driver going the wrong way on the interstate, OK soccer mom/dad, turn off Dancing with the Stars, leave your family, hop in the minivan and go stop this guy. Right now. Go. Now. and be sure to tell him he's under citizens arrest! as he's coming right at you. yeah, that'll work...
You have illustrated the entire negative attitude that most people in America have about "law enforcement" - People generally think that a police officer is "upholding the law

I don't drive - I use my own feet or pubkic transportation to get around - if you drive a minivan - then just admit it - what are you afraid of - contributing to "global warming"?
Thats the problem. I will offer a penalty suggestion for disrespect.....confiscation of drivers license for 3 years at the discretion of the officer with an explanation.
If there is no drivers license....removal from any educational institution for 6 months with heavy labor at the discretion of city garbage removal and sorting facilities management..... without compensation save a baloney sandwich less any toppings, or milk.

Cops ARE the law. If they tell you something, you do it. If you think the cop is wrong, you follow his orders and then let the judge make the decision. They are sworn officers, they have the power, you follow the rules.
