One more time, A DEMOCRAT CONTROLLED SENATE, CO-SPONSORED BY THE DEMOCRAT MAJORITY LEADER, TOM DASCHELE, INTRODUCED AND PASSED THE BILL GRANTING THE AUTHORITY FOR THE WARS AND FUNDED THEM.

A couple of points here to clarify this.

1. The resolution passed by congress authorized Bush to use measures he deemed necessary. The decision to start the war rested with him, not congress.

2. The bill passed despite 21 Democratic senators voting against it. Only one single GOP senator opposed it. At the time of the vote, Democrats held 50 senate seats and the GOP held 49. There was one independent. 48 Pubs voted for the resolution; 29 Dems.

Iraq Resolution - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Iraq war was a complete snafu and probably the single worst action America has ever undertaken in reagrds to foreign affairs. It's understandable that Bush apologists would desperately try to separate their support for a failed president from his worst action. But the facts are counter to that line of reasoning.

Lightbulb It's all about ratings

The fact that Limbaugh continually returns to the racist well is that his audience prefers that water. His show depends on high ratings to remain viable and he knows very well that racism sells like hot cakes with his followers. They're a bunch of bitter, angry, aging malcontents and they need a daily dose of hate to keep their circulation trickling along. Limpbaugh is their guy.

Anyone who would expect anything else from this slob is being naive in the extreme.

Makes me think that it is you who might be the racist.

That is the truth, however the pundits of the republican party are good at manipulating the uneducated into believing just the opposite. Ask the average rush fan to close their eyes and tell you what they see when describing a "welfare queen" it sure is not a white woman.

Well since these are code words for race, then Obama should do pretty damned well in Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and West Virginia come this Nov.

Funding for education is at record highs. Money is not the answer. Don't you get it?

A child who is raised to value education will succeed. A child who is left alone all day - running the streets and selling drugs for gangs - won't amount to anything.

How many tax payer dollars do you want to throw at that?

Are you sure? Funding for what schools are you referring to? There have been massive teacher cuts throughout Georgia as well as other states, colleges have raised their tution at least 25% in the last 10 years.

The only kids going to college and succeeding are those who can afford it and are better prepared. So tell me if you really want to learn but your teacher hands are tied behind their backs as far as what they can teach you or if they want to be bothered at all, what are the kids chances of doing well in college?
