Isn't that kind of embarrassing for a 26 year old adult to be on their parents plan?
Is it not sad that even Republicans think it is ok?

Why would it be embarassing? Many 26 year olds are still at home, in college, or are just not able to get that high paying job or job with good health insurance. Ever thought of that?

Not in the least. Who is going to know ? You go to the doctor and present your insurance card.
Not every young person is making 6 figure salaries. Salaries have not kept up with everything else.
Rent-utilities-food are the main bills. If you have a job that can barely cut it then that's one less deduction to your money.

And that is one part of Obamacare that didn't get pushed onto taxpayers. Parents foot that bill.
Would you have rather that Obamacare subsidized their premiums with your money instead ?

I agree. The times be a changin and I have no doubt the parents feel much better knowing their child is still covered.

Better to be embarrassed than uninsured.

If you were in the desert and someone offered you a glass of water, would you be too embarrassed to take it?

Many conservatives would be too embarrassed to take it without first being given a chance to earn it. They have a thing with the importance of people being personally responsible, don't you know.

The opportunity to get it is there, but it is not free and you pay for it from what I know.

Not at all. Many kids coming right out of college do not land jobs with good insurance plans right off the bat. My cousin got sick when she was 23 (out of school, no insurance), she was in the hospital and wound up with bills in excess of $40,000 (this was prior to the healthcare bill).

If this was in place at that time, it would have been covered by her parents insurance, but since it wasn't you have a 23/24 year old with upwards of $40-$50k in medical debt

What's embarrassing is that many 26 year olds can no longer hope to get a job that offers health insurance benefits. Have you not noticed the job market for recent college grads?
