It had to happen, though I'm surprised it started so quickly.

Though considering the desperation of liberals falling behind in more and more polls nationwide, with a major election coming, perhaps I shouldn't be surprised at their using everything, up to and including mass murders, to justify their increasingly unpopular agenda.

Never mind that laws against gun ownership, only restrict the law-abiding.

Never mind that the areas with the strictest laws against guns, are the areas where gun crimes of all kinds stay at the highest levels year after year in spite of those laws.

Never mind the complete lack of any evidence showing that gun laws prevent criminals from using guns.

Is there anything these people won't do, any lie they won't tell, any tragedy they won't exploit, to push their tired, failed agenda?

I guess we need to remember the words of Barack Obama's then-Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel: "You never want a serious crisis to go to waste."

But couldn't they at least wait until the bodies have cooled?

I'm not left-wing, but I ask you: How do you think right-wingers will use this situation to their advantage? They will and probably already have. With that said, what's the point of highlighting what left-wingers are doing? Both sides are guilty of this stuff all the time.

I think what's stupid is using a rare event like a gun massacre to argue for or against gun control.

I cited four examples of leftist extremists addressing national audiences and using the Colorado shootings to push for government "gun control".

You cited ZERO examples of conservatives doing anything like that, or using the mass murders in any way.

And then you simply announced they already have, and even ventured into mindreading to predict "they will".

And concluded that both sides are equally guilty.

They are just sitting and waiting for something to happen so they can get on the gun control bandwagon.
Only criminals would have guns if it were up to liberals.

I was just about to flip over to MSNBC to see the latest spin. Problem is I can only stomach just a few moments listening to their garbage.

It's the same old, samle old argument. What about gas and matches control? Politically I wonder if this is bad for Democrats and Obama, who have been doing their best to run away from the gun control issue ever since 1994. Most likely not; it will be talked about for a few days, with both sides getting in their licks, and then papered over and ignored. That has been the pattern for the past decade.
