Uh-oh. Time for another boycott? With all of the support for gay causes from high-tech/internet companies, anti-gay activists will soon have to give up their computers entirely.

unless amazon screws me over when i order from them, i will still buy from amazon.com. i dont care where they donate their money, thats their business not mine. same with chick-fil-a. henry ford was a rabid anti semite and yet they are my favorite manufacturer of cars and trucks.

i have said it before, boycotts dont work. they may have initially in the 70s when business owners were scared of losing business, but i have found that if a business provides good products and services, the customers will always be there. in fact often times boycotts have the opposite effect than what was intended in that they create curiosity about the business.

for instance, i went to chick-fil-a the other day for lunch, and found that their chicken sandwiches are actually quite good, and NOT greasy, unlike other chicken places you could name.

It does matter where companies donate their money. It's only their money once you give it to them. Those associations with Ford are no longer relevant.

The difference here is that it's the CEO's personal money instead of money coming from the foundation arm of his company.

But let's see how many people go up in arms anyway.

And Amazon takes 5-10% of the cut. Thanks for supporting um, "mental defects"!
