No it shows that Africans mated with another yet to be identified species. It says in the article No Europeans were affected by this.

Do you have a reference on the others. anthropology junkie here. I hadn't seen those. The 'sister species to neanderthal in Africa I read about.
This occured post the great migration. Neanderthal dna was added after that, in the middle eastern/turkey region around the black sea where they shared apparently peacefully for a long time. That strain of dna is not found in Africans. This new one is not found in European/asian populations.
This also means that other species of humans existed in africa long after the dominant form had been reached.
