When I was deployed to the Middle East we were told that their views were that women are for reproducing and men are for pleasure. WHen we were able to go down town you would always see the females and children walking around together, and then you would see the guys walking around holding hands together. I was quite shocked, in a few occasions I saw some guys that were meeting friends apparently or had bumped into friends and they would kiss each other instead of say shaking hands.
DOnt get me wrong, not everyone was like this but way more than I would have ever imagined. I was not deployed to Egypt, but same area.
Sure by all means gays should go to the gay utopia of Egypt and other Muslim countries I'm sure they'll receive a warm welcome.
i don't even know where these threads come from!
Egypt is a Northern African country bordering the Mediterranean Sea. It is approximately three times the size of New Mexico. Majority of Egypt's dense populous lives near the banks of the Nile River.
Gay Life in Egypt
Ninety percent of Egypt's population is Muslim (mostly Sunni), traditionally known for their religious intolerance towards gays. Consensual homosexual sex is considered a "practice of debauchery" and punishable under Egyptian law, although not explicitly stated in the penal code. According to Human Rights Watch, some men are tortured and coerced by police to sign statements of homosexuality.
the OP needs to look up the qur'an and their interpretation of "gay" activity, or just google islamic interpretation of homosexuality.
