Great thing about america is you can move if you don't like it. I thought right wingers wanted the states to legislate and not the federal government, guess that's only when it goes your way.
In 1946 my father came home from WWII and he bought a hand gun. He didn't need a background search, he didn't need fingerprinting, he didn't even need a driver's license. He walked into the hardware store (where they sold them at the time) and bought one. Just. Like. That.
At one point in history you didn't even need a driver's license to drive a car. And one point you wouldn't have to go through weeks of background checks along with fingerprinting and other security checks before you'd approved to work certain jobs.

That's exactly right. We have lost our freedoms INCREMENTALLY over a long period of time because we have not stood up for them.
