Well, Mitch McConnell was the one who said since day one that their goal was to make President Obama a one termer. Too bad Romney isn't going to beat Obama in November.

Once again, the GOP is in the position of actually hurting our economic recovery to make Obama look bad.
stillkit, by calling it GOP obstructionism what you are saying is that the GOP is willing to play with their business and their livelihood to make Obama look bad? Are you serious? That is a ridiculous claim. This is not a game to anyone!.

Obama "vows" to veto the extension of the Bush tax cuts if it includes upper income people. By playing this game he is putting everyones income and livelihood on the line. If he does veto the Bush tax cuts he is raising taxes on "everyone".

Americans and business owners who understand paying more in taxes is an added expense and they are reducing other expenses, paying down debt and accumulating cash to pay for it and to survive the coming economic crises (as if its not bad enough already). This is the intent of the article you posted. Just like you balance your checkbook and pay your bills, businesses will balance their budget (making sure income exceeds expenses) and make sure they have enough to get through the storm. By doing this, people and companies are using good old fashion responsible fiscal principles.

This means less cash flowing through the economy, it means less demand for product. Many tried to warn you but people are more interested in trashing an opponent instead. In the end, Obamacare and the threat to increase taxes has only caused the opposite reaction. Obama is determined to raise taxes even if it means the middle class will pay higher taxes too.

This is not a game. This is just the beginning.

I would not care who is in the office (Democrat or Republican) if they were doing a good job. Get in the office and get the job done!

So if the Republicans agree to raising taxes that will encourage businesses to borrow and expand? Sure, all businesses love higher taxes...

Do your really believe that any minority party doesn't feel the same way?

According to you Clinton should NOT have run against Bush 41 because THEY didn't want him to be a 1 term Pres. Or why did kerry run against Bush 43.

Do you know how silly your statement is?

What you say obviously has a measure of truth in it. BUT...I've been a student of politics since the 1960's and I cannot remember EVER before seeing a Congressional leader step up to a microphone and say something like McConnell said. EVER.

Mitch McConnell: Top Priority, Make Obama a One Term President - YouTube

Did you catch that? "Top political priority." Not the country. Not The People. Not our problems. Not the economy. Not jobs. Deny Obama a second term.

Not surprisingly for such a gang of ideology-driven, money-grubbing, unprincipled poopheads, they've actually worked toward that goal as a top priority since 2010 and we all have suffered because of it. Now they want you to reward their holding the country down in the toilet of economic malaise for 2 years by giving them back the power they lost because of leading us off a cliff.
