Thanks big government. And to think, liberals want even more regulations and permits and the like. You cant do much of anything to your own house/property without paying for a permit and "getting approval". A small farmer cant even host a damn birthday party without a permit?!?!
Seriously folks, as bad as it is now in many aspects of permits and regulations, do you really want more? If so, vote Democrat.

Are you the guy in charge of the permits for that county? Seriously, why would someone in AZ get so bent out of shape and nasty about a childrens' birthday party?
"Fauquier County has crossed several lines by violating sensitive private property rights and individual liberty. The County is breaking the law, and is trespassing on the rights of farmers, wineries, and their patrons from and visiting the Commonwealth of Virginia. Perhaps even more egregious are the County's Orwellian allegations that a pumpkin carving and a birthday party for eight 10-year-old girls transgressed the County's zoning ordinance, and constitute grounds to cite and fine farmers."

Just curious, how could a government make rules that the majority did not agree with or had reasons for them? If they are making rules the majority of citizens are against that can be corrected by removing those doing so. Also, while you are at it, please show how this is limited to Liberals, having lived around the Nation I would say some of the most rule happy governments I have seen have been Conservatives.

You dont think there are rules/laws in place that many are against? Hell, we probably arent aware of most of them. You act like we have much say in most of the laws that have been passed. We dont. We dont have say in laws, regulations, and permits.
You know is some states, you can hardly do anything inside your own home, such as putting in a new door entrance, moving a shed, with out paying for a damn permit?!
Then there's the combination plate law for New York. Even if you are driving a regular car or SUV, if you have combination plates from out of state, you cant drive on the parkways.
Just some examples. Stupid laws, dumb permits and regulations. And we have very little say in much of any of it.
And I single out liberals because is it not true that many liberals do want a bigger more powerful government? More rules and regs?

There is plenty of evidence out there that democracy does not always produce outcomes that are to the taste of the majority. Just take the example of public corporations. Stockholders have a vote, but the companies tend to end up skewed towards the interests of senior execs. The CEO who runs the company into the ground yet gets a golden parachute is a truism. Why does this happen? Because the senior execs like it that way. Same thing with unions; the union member has a vote, but ask any union member and they'll tell you that things are skewed towards the interests of union honchos, not rank & file.
Then why do you care... or have you relocated to VA now?
Why don't you ask the Jews's in Germany in the late 1930's-early 1940's the same question?
Go ahead and invoke Godwin's Law - that doesn't make what I posted any less relevant.
