This is a video I came across from The Market Ticker which does an excellent job explaining the history of Banking in this country.

The Poster there has a better intro to it than I can provide:

The True History Of The Banking Cartels [FedUp] - MarketTicker Forums

At first I thought this was just another one of 'those videos'....you know, another one about the Federal Reserve, Jekyll Island, evil Joos, etc. Uh...no. This video examines history MUCH further back and when it comes to history, specifically American history, I'm no slouch. This film taught me things of which I had NO IDEA. It's hard to stun me with anything regarding the depths of economic and government corruption these days, but this one shocked me.

When Gordon Gecko got to play with George Baileys money, thats when things went downhill.

Split investment and commercial banks again, problem ceases to exist.

Agreed, I believe it would be a good start.

That and getting The Financial and Mega Corps out of our government and from being able to "write" their own rules and regulations, in what is supposed to be a capitalist run country.

There is no such thing as free and fair elections. There is no such thing as free markets. Elections and markets are influenced and manipulated. Our entire political and market systems are rigged. The banks and government are the real Anarchists, they have no rulers and look how well they live.

You should watch the 2010 documentary "Inside Job."

The Biggest Bank Heist Ever! | HD - YouTube

We should repeal ALL the banking de-regulations since Reagan, AND we should bar any banking/finance executive that made any decision that resulted in the most recent implosion from any banking or finance position for the remainder of their lives -- not even as tellers. That includes those in government or academics.

It's time the working class had safe savings and investment options.
