Doesn't really 'say it all'. Libruls, democrats, progressives... call them what you will, prefer to forget the efforts of Dwight Eisenhower to establish civil rights for minorities back in the 50's. That is, despite the efforts of Lyndon Johnson to put off passing legislation until he could stamp it as his own. I would agree, southern states weren't much help.
”These Negroes, they‘re getting pretty uppity these days and that‘s a problem for us since they‘ve got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we‘ve got to do something about this, we‘ve got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference.”
-Lyndon B. Johnson
After fifty years of civil rights, poverty for Blacks is still a huge problem. I thought the point of this was to help people escape poverty, not make it into an unescapable reality. This disgusting quote from LBJ sums it up perfectly; the Democrats care just enough to keep them voting Democrat.
And then there's this:
"“I’ll have those n*****s voting Democratic for the next 200 years.”
-LBJ
Anyone who is saying Republicans were he ones who did some of those things is forgetting that they were the liberal party then. In the 20th century it flip flopped.
People usually vote on what the party has done within the last twenty years or less.
And the democrats are spending what we don't have... if this continues, no one will get a welfare check or a social security check because no country will loan us money anymore.. it will come to that if no one steps in and fixes our economy and creates jobs... the jobs fund the programs ..Without the working people who pay taxes, there is no tax money to be found.

Ted Kennedy talking about Obama...." a few years ago this guy would have been getting us coffee."
