Thanks Obama – Here Are 24 Stats That Show How Much You Have Royally Messed Up Our Economy

The following are 24 stats that show just how much Obama has royally messed up our economy....

#1 Under Bill Clinton, the average unemployment rate was 5.2 percent. Under George W. Bush, the average unemployment rate was 5.3 percent. Under Barack Obama, things have been much worse. The month after he took office the unemployment rate rose above 8 percent and it has stayed there ever since.

#20 The U.S. government has run a budget deficit of well over a trillion dollars every single year under Barack Obama.

#21 Under Barack Obama, U.S. debt was downgraded from AAA status for the first time ever.

#22 Since Barack Obama took office, the U.S. national debt has increased by 50 percent.

#23 Since Barack Obama became president, the U.S. national debt has increased by an average of more than $64,000 per taxpayer.

#24 During the Obama administration, the U.S. national debt has grown more than it did from the time that George Washington became president to the beginning of Bill Clinton's second term as president.
Actually government spending under Obama has been the lowest since Eisenhower. The budget of 2009, was passed by congress 4 months before Obama took office. You can hardly blame Obama for that budget. Just like the 2013 budget, will be passed before Rodney takes office assuming he wins.

Who Is The Smallest Government Spender Since Eisenhower? Would You Believe It's Barack Obama? - Forbes

The facts are the budget deficit has increased as a percentage of the national debt under every Republican president since Ronald Reagan. It decreased slightly under Clinton, the sad fact is it's the republicans that have been ruining this country for the last 30 years. While you can be quick to point out that the deficit has increase under Obama's watch, and you be right, the problem is the snowball has been rolling down the hill and getting bigger for some time, It really doesn't matter if you tossed Obama, McCain or Rodney in front of it, they are all going to get run over by the snowball and it's going to get bigger. Now that the snowball debt is so big, there are no easy answers to stop it.

And Obama has removed millions of illegals -- all the illegals ages 16-30 years of age from agricultural jobs by giving them nice new work visas that entitle them to take jobs Americans would do, and the crops even in a state like California with many millions of illegals are rotting in the fields for lack of farm workers.

How very true. Yet, I'm sure most conservatives would quite passionately disagree while insisting that Obama is the worst president in history, by far.

You forgot to add that he also kidnapped the Lindberg Baby, was directly responsible for the Hindenberg, and for his College Thesis, "invented" Global Warming."

These threads blaming the President for factors out of his control, based around a global economy that is tanking and after inheriting less then optimal circumstances from the previous President is getting old.

At the END of the Bush administration, the unemployment rate was 7.3 and rising (Dec. 2008)

#2 Under Barack Obama, the velocity of money (a very important indicator of economic health) has plunged to a post-World War II low.
Yeah, because the exchange of money should fall during the worst economic recession we've seen since the 1930's. And, that recession began before Obama took office.

Quote:
#3 Real median household income has decreased by more than 4000 dollars since Barack Obama entered the White House.
What a surprise! With a troubled economy and millions unemployed, what else would you expect?

#4 The United States has plenty of oil and we should not have to import it from the Middle East. Unfortunately, Barack Obama has an absolutely nightmarish energy policy. Under Bill Clinton, the number of drilling permits approved rose by 58 percent. Under George W. Bush, the number of drilling permits approved rose by 116 percent. Under Barack Obama, the number of drilling permits approved decreased by 36 percent.
Screw drilling permits. The real measure is how much oil and gas is being produced and how many rigs are actually working. During this administration, we've found such an abundance of natural gas that market prices are the lowest they've been in decades, more rigs are working now than at any time since at least the 1980's, the base line oil terminal at Cushing, OK can't hold any more oil, the US has become a net EXPORTER of oil products for the first time since the 1970's and the oil patch is booming.

#5 When Barack Obama took office, the average price of a gallon of gasoline was $1.85. Today, the average price of a gallon of gasoline is $3.71.
And, a President...ANY President...has how much control over that?

Quote:
#6 Under Barack Obama, the United States has lost more than 300,000 education jobs.
Yep. Nearly all of which were lost because of GOP budget cutting at the state level. Prove otherwise, if you can.

Quote:
#7 Since Barack Obama became president, the number of long-term unemployed Americans has risen from 2.7 million to 5.2 million.
First, define "long term" unemployed and then prove it.

Quote:
#8 For the first time in the post-World War II era, the employment-population ratio has not bounced back after a recession. The percentage of working age Americans with a job has been below 59 percent for 35 months in a row.
Huh?

Quote:
#9 While Barack Obama has been president, U.S. home values have fallen by another 12 percent.
And he is responsible for that just how? In any case, they fell more than that during the last year of the Bush presidency.

Quote:
#10 More than three times as many new homes were sold in the United States in 2005 as will be sold in 2012.
Yeah...and FIVE times as many have been sold just this year so far as the last year of the Bush administration, when the housing bubble collapse was well under way.

#11 Electricity bills in the United States have risen faster than the overall rate of inflation for five years in a row. Thanks Obama.
How is Obama responsible for this when electricity rates are regulated at the state level?

Quote:
#12 When Barack Obama first entered the White House, an ounce of gold was going for about $850. Today, the price of gold is over $1630 an ounce.
What does the President have to do with this?

Quote:
#13 Since 2008, our economy has lost 1.3 million jobs while at the same time 3.6 million more Americans have been added to Social Security's disability insurance program.
What does one have to do with the other? Right now, there are over 2 million jobs open out there, the highest number since Obama took office.

Quote:
#14 The number of Americans on food stamps has grown from 31.9 million when Barack Obama took office to 46.4 million today. How much more "hope and change" are we going to be able to endure?
Wow! Who woulda thunk it? The economy tanks and more people need food stamps. What a surprise!

Quote:
#15 As I wrote about the other day, it is being projected that Obamacare will add 16 million more Americans to the Medicaid rolls.
Show me.

Quote:
#16 If you can believe it (and this really is hard to believe), more than half of all Americans are now at least partially financially dependent on the government.
Lessee...that includes retired military, old folks drawing their Social Security, government employees at EVERY level, including cops and firefighters. Which ones would you tell can't get their check?

Quote:
#17 The total amount of money that the federal government gives directly to the American people has grown by 32 percent since Barack Obama became president.
What do you mean by "gives directly?"

Quote:
#18 Under Barack Obama, federal spending as a percentage of GDP (25 percent) is the highest that it has been since World War II.
Federal spending always goes up during a recession. The increased spending, and reduced economic activity, raises the spending as a percentage of GDP. The rate at the end of 2010 (last year for which figures are available0 was less than 6% more than the final year of the Reagan Presidency and only 3% more than the last year of the Bush presidency.

#19 The Obama administration has been spending money on some of the most insane things imaginable. For example, in 2011 the Obama administration spent $592,527 on a study that sought to figure out once and for all why chimpanzees throw poop.
"Insane things" is a judgment call and we could trade examples all day long.

Quote:
#20 The U.S. government has run a budget deficit of well over a trillion dollars every single year under Barack Obama.
Uh...as I said before, federal spending increases during a recession. And, our first trillion dollar deficit was under George Bush.

Quote:
#21 Under Barack Obama, U.S. debt was downgraded from AAA status for the first time ever.
Yeah, thanks to the GOP House playing games with the debt limit.

Quote:
#22 Since Barack Obama took office, the U.S. national debt has increased by 50 percent.
Not quite, but pretty close. But...President's don't allocate a single dollar of spending. Congress does.

Quote:
#23 Since Barack Obama became president, the U.S. national debt has increased by an average of more than $64,000 per taxpayer.
How much was it when Bush left office? How much has it increased since then?

Quote:
#24 During the Obama administration, the U.S. national debt has grown more than it did from the time that George Washington became president to the beginning of Bill Clinton's second term as president.
Yep, and the increase has shown it's largest gains during the administrations of Ronald Reagan, G.H.W. Bush and George Bush. "Conservatives?"

Anything else?

The main problem is too many Republicans were elected during the last congress/senate elections. We have a dysfunctional government. We be far better off with either a Democrat or Republican controlled government, having the president control one side and congress the other side, ensures nothing get done in a timely bases. I strongly feel if more democrats where elected during the last election, and the country was "Democrat" controlled, Obama could have made some real changes to government during his term, weather good or bad, he could have done something. While checks and balances are good, it shouldn't be a government that disagrees with everything the president says just because he's from a different political party.
