How long had it been since President Obama attended his daily intelligence meeting in the lead-up to the Sept. 11 attacks on U.S. diplomatic facilities in Egypt and Libya? After all, our adversaries are known to use the anniversary of 9/11 to target the United States.

According to the public schedule of the president, the last time the Obama attended his daily intelligence meeting was Sept. 5 — a week before Islamist radicals stormed our embassy in Cairo and terrorists killed our ambassador to Tripoli. The president was scheduled to hold the intelligence meeting at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday, the day after the attacks, but it was canceled so that he could comfort grieving employees at the State Department — as well he should. But instead of rescheduling the intelligence briefing for later in the day, Obama apparently chose to skip it altogether and attend a Las Vegas fundraiser for his re-election campaign. One day after a terrorist attack.

When I asked National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor if the president had attended any meetings to discuss the Presidential Daily Brief (PDB) since Sept. 5, he repeatedly refused to answer.

HE refused to listen and I'm sure he doesn't care that their warnings all came true. The war in Iraq was NOT the "three week cake walk" that the BUSH adminstration said it would be...DUH! It did exactly what the world warned would happen...
The terrorists were hitting us during the Clinton Administration. They bombed the twin towers, the Uss Cole and an American Embassy. So it is all Bushes fault as you have been brain washed by the MSNBC liars.

Democrats can't take responsiblity.. they just finger point at Bush all the time.. silly democrats..

I know opening your mouth before putting your brain into gear is a obvious Romney trait but there are plenty on the right who feel that screaming before you know the facts is how the POTUS should act............ WRONG.
We have a President who does exactly what a President should do............. Watch, Listen and formulate your views on fact not hysteria.................... Kudos Mr. President for being the adult in the room over this probably right wing orchestrated film trailer fiasco
We told you swooners this would happen from the time the wonderful arab spring began. Your hero was meeting with the muslim brudderhood in the friggen white house. They told him they wouldn't try and take power and they did. Now we get this. YOU are the one who needs to pay attention.

It isn't so much sympathy, as it is weakness. This is EXACTLY what happened when Carter was President. He abandoned the Shah of Iran and ushered in the Imams. He pushed his ideology of peaceful negotiation and abandoned reason. We all learned the hard way that his weakness brought nothing but disaster.

Fast forward 30 years...

Welcome to Carter v2.0

New, Improved, and weaker than ever. This is going to be far worse than Iran was in 78' The Muslim Brotherhood is behind this, and the US was warned not to allow them to take control.

The way Mubarak was treated is shameful. One minute he was Hillary Clinton's "close family friend" and two months later she called him a tyrant. What a bunch of political BS and a complete abandonment of long held and hard won relations.

Obama doesn't need 4 more years, he's already helped to set the world on fire.

I know growing up we were strong and our message was strong. Now I have seen Obama and heard his words in response to the attacks to our embassy and then killing Americans..

Now I know this weak response is nothing any other president has done. Making us the apologizers. This opens the door to more of the same. Obama is a wimp. Obama and his words will just spread the violence knowing they are being appeased by Obama. As if they have the right to kill Americans because of Obama's statement. As if we deserve to be killed.
The entire message from the democrat party has been arse kissing and retreat. How many times did they try and cut the funding to the troops? All Obama talked about last election was getting out of Iraq and AFghan. Meanwhile the muslims get his ear and play him for a fool. It's a disgrace.

There is obviously a serious problem with tolerance in the Middle East. Obviously many of the people there cannot tolerate criticism without reacting violently. There are many serious problems there and there have been for many, many decades - anyone trying to pass this latest incident off as something new or some Obama failure is either a liar or an idiot.

The best thing the U.S. can do is to disassociate itself from Israel and not get involved with events over there. We're not going to be able to "manage" them in any meaningful way to bring about ideological change and intervention attempts will backfire - they have always backfired and that's why we are singled out as an enemy!

Libya is the primary nation that is on the hook here. They need to act quickly to show they are going to capture and punish those responsible. The other countries where people are rioting...let them riot, but away from U.S. embassies and citizens and let their governments deal with it internally. Libya is on the hook though and needs to act fast and decisively.

There seems to be some parallels between blaming the filmmaker (instead of the protestors) for this violence and blaming guns (instead of the crook) for crime.
