In 2010 Obama was using Denmark and Spain as models we should emulate.
Spain's green plan is causing economic ruin and Denmark is clear-cutting forests for windmills. Liberals are such fools.

Quote:
In the northern region of Jutland called Thy, Denmark is forcing people off of their land (“Kelo” is apparently Danish for “Kelo”) and — wait for it — preparing to clear-cut fifteen square kilometers of forest, and eventually thirty, in order to put up more of the bird- and job-killing monstrosities.

These giant windmills are not even intended to fill an energy gap for the Danish economy. No, they are to be onshore experimental versions of massive new off-shore turbines — with the facility to be rented out to wind mavens like Siemens.

The argument they are forwarding for doing this is not just the typically risible claim that this is necessary for the environment. After all, “[the] deforestation will create an increase of 400,000 tons of CO2 emissions, the equivalent of the CO2 emissions of 100,000 people per year.”

They are also forwarding the argument that this must occur in order to create Danish jobs.

No idea where you're getting your false information from, OP but it isn't funny.

Try getting some unbiased, objective data then joining us in the real world.

Thanks!

Say hello to 4 more years of Obama.

Energy use per capita.
Per capita means it hasn't increased per person. To do an accurate assessment you would need a much more complex formula, for example population growth and where that population growth is occurring. If California saw most of their population expand into relatively mild climates and the rest of the country saw expansions in colder climates then you could easily explain the difference. I'm not saying that is what happened but that is the type of comparison you would need to make. Another thing you might consider is if you have a lot of poor people expanding your population that are less likely to consume energy. There is lot of things that would need to be considered.

Denmark has the highest electric rates in the Western world and while Spain has relatively low rates that is only because the state run power distributors have been allowed to accrue massive debts.

The rate here is 6.8 cents for first 1350 kwh, and 10.19 above that based on monthly usage...The two stage rate is an attempt to encourage conservation of power.

Brilliant!!! Lets sell our coal to Communists in China instead of burning it here and keeping our power cheap

What's next??? I bet there's already a bill somewhere out there written that will make electric rates "progressive" as in "spread the wealth" as in "From each according to ability to each according to need"

OMG!!!! 0bama's gonna pay my electric bill!!!

POS MUST GO NOW!!!

Household electricity bills skyrocket

From the 2011 article you linked:

"Electric bills have skyrocketed in the last five years, a sharp reversal from a quarter-century when Americans enjoyed stable power bills even as they used more electricity."

Who was paying your electric bill in 2006, 2007, and 2008?

Please stow your phony outrage.

That is because we have numerous sources that are plentiful. This nincompoop is cutting them and shutting the power off, meanwhile making us more dependent on foreign nations. This is the height of stupidity. Next they'll be blowing up our dams.

Well actaully what we should be mad about is the leaders of both parties failing to see what Pickens knew years ago .That natural gas was the main answer. Coal industry now is really paying for not funding research on cleaner burning coal and fighting anyone who proposed it.China is now doing such research as they know that clean coal is a must for their countries energy needs in near future.Natural gas is npow the answer to clean burning without major investment in clean coal infrastructure. Its just economic 101 that has caught up with dirty coal .
