For all of us greenies out here, all of this talk about reducing emissions, taking action, and implementation will take a long time.
There is strong opposition to advocates of clean air and water.
I thought we were talking about climate change, not general air pollution?

So when are liberals going to live with out heat, hot food, cars, plastic and jobs where energy is used? Everything we do takes energy, and most energy makes waste gasses, some by the way which are good for Earth like CO2.

I have no plan to buy any carbon credit tax base anything and i do with with metals and use tooling that creates CO2.

Winters coming, it will be cold, that's climate change...

I suggest an alternate heat source just in case the grid goes down...

Right, half the polled voters thinks obama's VP is Ryan and Obama will pay their bills from his stash.

As the news media is in the tank for Obama, all polls are suspect and no one should trust what the media publishes. they gave us the 99% in an attempt to make their 'cause' seem bigger than it was.
they constantly cover for Obama to make him appear flawless, though obama is making their job harder.

And what do these enlightened survey takers suggest be done?

How about taking all cars off the road and banning fireplaces and wood stoves. Oops china, et al is increasing coal consumptions....oh no 'we're all going to die!!!!!!!!!!

Half the people believe bad odors cause disease. To suggest their is some credence to a majority of the audience being correct is to err mightily.

not to mention the fact that this probably won't sway voters one way or the other it's just not the top one or two issues on people's minds...i'm a moderate (like with most things) on the climate change thing i think both sides will have to give in some...but i don't see that ever happening on either side in the current political climate

Comment from the poll:

Quote:
The great majority of climate scientists have concluded that global warming is
happening
, human caused, and if left unchecked, will have serious consequences for
humans and the natural world
Only the first part of this statement I've bolded is true so you have to wonder how honestly this was conducted. It's actually quite humorous to have someone polling someone else on their understanding when they obviously don't understand it themselves.

Typical response from Republicans. If it is information that you don't like blame the media for biased reporting. If it information that you do like, the media outlet is fair and balanced.

The primary issue is the media has so clouded this topic people do not know what to believe.

Quote:
Yet there exists considerable confusion about this scientific agreement among American
voters. While two out of three likely Obama voters (66%) believe that most scientists
think global warming is happening, few likely Romney voters do (22%) – a three to one
margin.
In fact, a majority of likely Romney voters believe “there is a lot of disagreement among
scientists” on the issue (57%). Undecideds fall in the middle, with about half (46%)
saying that most scientists agree, while nearly as many (42%) think there is still a lot of
disagreement among scientists.
The only ones even remotely close to answering this correctly were the Democrats but I would suggest it's not because they are informed but instead it follows the party line. If you asked any of those polled to explain themsleves my money would be on very few of them being able to justify their answer correctly.

Uh, liberals do the same exact thing conservatives do. I wouldn't throw stones inside that glass house you live in
