Richard Dawkins, a famous atheist went to Palestine to interview an ex-Jewish from New York who moved to Gaza and became a Muslim. According to the Muslim guy (along with other things he said about Non-Muslims), he said: " There would be no 9/11 if there were no "State of Israel ".

Is it true what he is saying? Because of the American support of Israel, that's why they attacked us

The guy interested is a fanatic and extremist. He doesn't mention compensating all the Jews that were forced to free Arab lands after the establishment of the state of Israel. Also he wants to put women back into the "stone age" so to speak.

Bin Laden's ire at the US really began with our defense of Kuwait.

More specifically, with the stationing of US troops in Saudi Arabia, his home country.

But the ideological origins of al-Qaeda can be traced back to the early 1950s, when an Egyptian named Sayyed Qutb spent a year in Colorado and was appalled by the free & easy lifestyles of the Americans around him. After returning home, he started a political movement (the Muslim Brotherhood) and was later imprisoned and tortured by the Nasser regime. Qutb inspired Ayman al-Zawahiri, who in turn inspired Osama bin-Laden to lead foreign Arab fighters against the Soviets in Afghanistan -- which is when al-Qaeda got started.

LMAO, when are we going to see another thread like this except the interviewee would be from the black panthers or the KKK?

This thread is just another example of what the anti-Israel camp dredges up from the muck....

They're all so confuzzled and confuffled over in the Middle East, one minute they're celebrating what they did by dancing in the streets, setting US Flags on fire, and passing out candy to children. In the next minute they're claiming that 9/11 never happened and it was orchestrated by Bush to attack Islam, and the next minute they're claiming Israel caused it.

Quote:
“The US is conducting the greatest distortion campaign in its history,” Yaha Al-Kateb, another Yemini academic, stated in a Sept. 5 television interview in which he referred to the attack as “the alleged 9/11 operation by the so-called Al-Qaeda,” according to MEMRI.

Citing “documents published in some books,” Al-Kateb goes on to speculated that 9/11 is “entirely untrue” and that “the U.S. and Israel had prior knowledge of it.”
Arab World Celebrates 9/11 by Blaming Attacks on Israel, U.S. Jews

So now Bin Laden never existed and those videos of him and his clerics claiming responsibility for attacks is just in our collective imagination?

They lie, and twist the truth so much they are using that to snow millions around the world who follow Islam. Islam and other organized fascist religions is the worst thing that has ever happened to humanity.

Yes, it's true. It's not that simple, but it's essentially true.

Without the establishment of Israel, everything in the ME since 1948 would be different. I have no way to know whether it would be better or not, but it's certain that 9/11 would not have happened as it did.

In 1948 the Joint Chiefs told President Truman that recognizing and helping Israel would damage our national security and threaten our oil supply, but as we know, the fool didn't listen.

Totally wrong. From the horse's own mouth, he said it was Israel's destruction of Beirut and our support of it.

Quote:
[bin Laden] said he was first inspired to attack the United States by the 1982 Israeli invasion of Lebanon in which towers and buildings in Beirut were destroyed in the siege of the capital.

"While I was looking at these destroyed towers in Lebanon, it sparked in my mind that the tyrant should be punished with the same and that we should destroy towers in America, so that it tastes what we taste and would be deterred from killing our children and women," he said.

"God knows that it had not occurred to our mind to attack the towers, but after our patience ran out and we saw the injustice and inflexibility of the American-Israeli alliance toward our people in Palestine and Lebanon, this came to my mind," he said.

This is very true and painful fact. Fact stands regardless who utters it out. As matter of the fact many people in U S said similar before.
63 years ago Joint Chiefs warned US, his words were ominous and he must be very much regret that his words turn out to be true. And I am regret that so many people here still fail to see it.
