On a personal note, Israels security system as always been an easy flow. They've always able to seperate out trouble makers ,for them to get what they deserve so much, that the majority get to the counter (their screening is before you can check in) within minutes. But then you need to pass through another checkpoint to get into the actual terminal which is based on body language and if you're lucky enough you may get one more if you have a direct flight to the US.
FYI for those heading to Israel from the US, you get another full screening near the entrance to the gate.
