First off, this is a duplicate thread.
Romney is an investor, a shareholder. Apparently you don't know the role a shareholder plays and how little influence, if any, they have on the way a company is run other than choosing the board of directors.
For those who missed the original thread:
Quote:
Shareholders make a financial investment in the corporation, which entitles those with voting shares to elect the directors. Shareholders do not normally have any rights to be involved directly in company management. Their connection to company management is typically via the Board of Directors as described above. If shareholders are not satisfied with the performance of the directors, they may remove the directors or refuse to re-elect them.
Except for certain fundamental transactions or changes, shareholders normally do not participate directly in corporate decision-making and while, as a practical matter, boards want to know the views of the shareholders, strictly speaking, directors are not normally required to solicit or comply with the wishes of shareholders.

Do you demonize the people who are employees of Publix, who are shareholders? Who share in the profits?
Quote:
Publix is the largest employee-owned retail grocery chain in the United States. Publix is owned by more than 96,000 stockholders and more than 113,000 participants of its Employee Stock Ownership Plan. During designated offering periods, Publix's common stock is made available for sale to eligible active employees and non-employee members of its Board of Directors. Publix's common stock is not publicly traded on a stock exchange and, therefore, does not have a "ticker" symbol. The market price of Publix's common stock is determined by its Board of Directors each quarter.

Do you demonize everyone who invests in a company and get a return on their investments, or just big bad Mitt? Do you demonize everyone who created a company, large or small, and hold a majority interest and get a return on the creation of that company?
Some companies fail, go bankrupt, cut back, for various reasons and investors lose their money. Some companies succeed and investors make money.
What bothers people more - the flag or that Romney is an investor? Romney has the right to invest his money wherever he wants, the right make money. Any company has the right based on freedom to put up any flag they want to. Are you the same people who defended the man who used his freedom of speech to make a video that incited riots throughout the world?
If it's a matter of money, do you have a problem with Obama making millions of dollars by writing books? Just how many jobs did he create with his book writing?
Get over it people. You will never make a lot of money, you don't invest your money, you don't have the opportunities, nor do you possess the finances to make more money. Don't begrudge others for being able to. Stop boo-hooing that someone else has what you want. If you can't change it for your own benefit, learn to live with it. You are not alone.
