Redistributing candy isn't comparable to taxes, what does candy do besides give the children cavities? Taxes actually have a purpose, and no matter how bad I may feel about paying taxes, I understand where it's going. Personally if I, a 20 year old, had a bucket full of candy and someone younger than me had less candy, I'd want to give them some of my candy. If you don't understand the analogy, if I were wealthy I wouldn't want to hoarder my cash when others may need some as well or in other words: redistribution.

Shoot, if you believe getting candy is hard work then there are some issues that need to be worked out (of course kids would believe its hard work, but us adults should know better) According to the conservative perspective, those who win the lottery such as the mega millions have worked hard for that money and shouldn't pay any taxes on it, right? Their long journey to a convenient store, their years of hope and willing to spend $1 or $2 on a ticket has finally paid off and when they win that $2 million or hell $400 million the government needs to keep its hand out their pocket because having $1.5 million or $225 million isn't enough.

It's a small analogy. Come back in ten years and tell me why you think it's not fair when the government is taking 50% of your earnings to give to people who don't work. We have looters right now at Coney Island stealing things and justify it with----they owe me.

So at the ripe old age of 20 you have this all figured out----probably because you live in your parents house and have all your necessities taken care of. Tell your parents they need to pay more taxes, that will make them happy. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

You are making the assumption that the haves don't give to charity and just don't care about the have nots. That is pretty presumptuous of you.

The thing about charity is it's done quietly without any fanfare so people can think no one is doing anything for the poor. Why don't you volunteer your time and see how much is being done in your community for those in need. It's the ones who do nothing that think nothing is being done.

Not true. My grandkids wanted the fruit and took the oranges and apples. They also love veggies.

When those sick/poor kids ask "what about us" I'll simply tell them "don't worry, the kids with all the candy will have so much that they will get so sick of it, and then let the leftovers trickle down to you! Sure, they'll have eaten all the snickers, reeses cups and other good stuff, but there will still be plenty of double bubble gum and smarties!"
Glad you think that way. We will be right over to collect half of what you own. By the way could you have it all boxed up and help us get it on our truck? We know you will want to share because you really have too much and probably did no work to get it. We know how greedy you are.

You need to get new glasses. The guy isn't a monkey, he is a bear. For crying out loud!!!! HAHAHA

Well I looked at it again and by golly you are right, I think he is dressed up like a monkey. Funny what people will notice. Some will learn from the lesson that is trying to be taught and some will only take away the non-essentials from a lesson. You can lead a horse to water kind of thing. LOL

My "glasses" are fine. Check your glasses and your hearing aid (and the forum rules). 2:15 of the video.
