I am sure most of you have read about the lady in North Dakota. I don't care if your child is chubby or skinny would you take your child trick or treating at her home? I think this woman is mean. I couldn't hurt a little child's feelings like this.

This is the radio interview with the woman.

Well her grammar is a little bit off to begin with and definitely NOT a way to win over the folks that live next to you.

IF it's true, then it's awful. I've read on numerous internet sites that it's now suspected of being a stunt by the radio station.

it would be kinder just to keep the porch lights off or go out for the evening than to hand out something like that. Besides, it's pretty tough to tell what's child and what's costume sometimes, especially in colder climates.

LOL this board is full of people exactly like that woman, who come here frustrated about something because they can't tell off people in person.

No, I wouldn't go to her house.

Who says "moderately obese" when they're dissing the neighbors' kids?

IMHO it's a Halloween stunt by a radio station. The last time the Fargo area of North Dakota got this much attention someone got fed into a wood chipper.

I've only seen bits and pieces about this, but it makes sense that it's a radio gag. didn't she supposedly "call in" to a talk show to tell of her plans?

It was on cable news tonight too. I hope it is just a radio joke.

It may be a joke but I know people who would do this, or have done something similar.

Why not just hand out non-candy treats? There are lots of options...just check the Oriental Trading catalog!

My kids get annoyed with me but I hand out little pretzel bags. When I was a kid I would have loved to have a salty snack instead...not much of a sweet tooth and we usually threw out our uneaten candy at Christmas time.
