That might be because only union guys understand the correct technique for leaning on a shovel. Can't have scabs help clean up after a disaster.

These are the same NY unions that sabotaged the US war effort in WW2 until the government could get a mob boss to give the order for them to play nice. They're just carrying on the tradition of union first and to hell with everybody else.

^ Sailor, it's actually a NJ union (requirement), if you read the article.

New York requested them to come to Long Island, where they are free and welcome to work. Long Island has over 700k people without power, they'll be busy.

Do those union workers eat food produced on non-union farms? use napkins made in non-union factories? Wipe their azz with non-union toilet paper? Accept tax dollars in their pay from non-union tax payers?

UNION SCHMUNION.

Forget the stinkin union and get movin.

A lot of people want to work.

What they don't want is for their paychecks to be raided to pay for liberal politicians campaigns and to be told how to vote - or to be denied work because the union politicizes contracts.

Unions suck.
