It should be amazing but really isn't --- liberals actually admire this guy. A worthless bum who is gaming a system that allows the laziest to game it without effort.

My coworker had me watch this video the other day! What a scumbag! It's people like this, not the working poor that I have no sympathy for!

America is just now awakening to find the damage that has been wrought by decades of crony capitalism and corruption. The American worker has been devestated, and along with him, the American family. And this, of course, has nothing to do with "liberalism." In fact, just the opposite.

America finds itself no longer a leader in much of anything besides military spending. It is now less educated, less developed, less innovative than those godless liberal commies in Europe. Its citizens are disproportionately superstitious, and cling to barbaric and outmoded and obsolete ideas.

Luckily, a small percentage of intellectual, forward thinking people drive the nation forward and keep it in first world status in innovation, science and culture while an alarmingly increasing number of citizens calling themselves "conservatives" retreat into willful ignorance, tribalism and survivalist mode... rendering themselves increasingly irrelevant.

But I see that young people are less apt to share the FEAR and SHAME and SUPERSTITIONS of the older generations. And THAT'S why I see hope for America.

I know most of you City-Data conservative cranks are already knocking on your nursing home years, but really.... just sit back and let the rest of us repair the damage you have done, ok? Enjoy your pudding and reruns of the Andy Griffith show, and dream of an America that never was.

While I love my pudding and my Andy Griffith re-runs, I agree.

Translation: My party lost and the only way I can deal with it is by demonizing all those in the other party.

If you aren't willing to do it, then don't whine when the government does it for you.

True. The left had targeted the pillars of US culture-

the family
the church
the middle class

and have effectively destroyed the nation. That, coupled with the practice of looting the treasury in exchange for votes, has insured the destruction of the US from within. Most empires are destroyed in this fashion, and outside threats just perform the "coup de gras".

When the US breaks up, lessons will have been learned from this. I would imagine that there will be one or two socialist states and one or two conservative states based on the Constitution. What will need to be done to avoid the same mistakes?

1. only property owners and vets can vote

2. you sacrifice your right to vote if on public assistence

3. elected officials will have one term, term limits

4. judges will be up for re-evaluation every two years

5. the Constitution will mandate a balanced budget

6. the Federal Reserve will be banned by law

7. class action suits will be illegal

The smaller US states will better, as they will have smaller government and ones more fiscally responsible. The perversion of our Constitution could not go on forever.

Bull.

Another one who whines endlessly and makes ridiculously sweeping statements while doing it.

The majority of people I know down in the hood helping the kids ARE liberals.

Then there are people like Jon Bon Jovi, who has done an amazing amount of work for at risk kids and the homeless here in Philly. He's not only a liberal, but he's a heathen rockstar to boot.

Perhaps if you and others like you put 1/10th of the effort you put into complaining into breaking the cycle, we could begin rid the inner cities and the poor rural areas of the dependency cycle.

If you don't, then I'll have to surmise that you just enjoy whining, and your concern for the country is just a bunch of useless bloviating.

So you want a county where justice becomes "American Idol"?
Laws wont matter, if they don't rule by popular public opinion, replace them.

Good luck with that.

How many other tests of eligibility can you come up with for voting?

The IQ test.
The Net Worth test.
The how white am I test.
(Should anyone who benefits from the federal government, also not be able to vote? Farmers? Those in the Military? Corporations? Bankers and those on Wall Street? Political Parties? States? What about those who contribute to anyone or thing that benefits?)

I'm sure if you work hard enough on it, you will get your dream world. A dictatorship.

Just not in MY COUNTRY.

The item cost 8.32, because I didn't want any change back I gave the girl a ten and 32 cents. She used the calculator sitting on the counter top and still couldn't figure it out. Look at all the people who watch Honey Boo Boo instead of reading a book. I don't see us recovering anytime soon.
