Kissinger? You mean Mr. Duplicity? The man who damn near started WW III by giving China the "green-light" to invade India during the 1971 Pakistani-Indian War?
And some of you people thought the "Cuban" Missile Crisis was "almost" WW III. How wonderful to be so blissfully ignorant.
No thanks.
Kissinger never said anything worth listening to in his entire life.
Secretary Kissinger is only ever concerned with what's good for his business interests, not what's good for the United States.
There is nothing, zero, keeping the U.S. from having good relations with Iran aside from our Israel obsession. Sadly, that will probably only wane when Florida is no longer a swing state.

ok...thats fine, I'm only trying to understand all this and not into challenging idea's. So this above offered position is reasonably convinced that Iran is in an agreeable disposition for good relations with the US. Well a rep came for the UN meeting, so that would favor...and he was asked on a show if Obama invited him for a talk, he basically said no...so how does this cold shoulder allow people to follow your suggestion.? Plus I guess you feel a weapon of mass destruction is ok. Or perhaps its possible that they really are only interested in the material as a resource...But what we learn is they have plenty of oil for resource together with properties of spoken aggression, including the supply of weapons to the Gaza spot. Their focus on military rather then talks seems hard to get around, including a refusal for inspection.
I don't like weapons of mass destruction, but I am sorely against this country using its military and diplomatic strength to safeguard Israel's regional monopoly of them. The Iranian government may be a headache to other countries in the region, but none of that is our problem unless we make it our problem.

Ok well I agree with the idea that the entire ME crisis was not approached in an intelligent way from the start and if you do something, it should be done right or it just creates more problems, especially poking your nose into other countries and cultures. The experts are advising that if Iran is successful in producing these bombs, they will be a problem for the world. Ultimately there is way too much tension over there and its almost impossible to not expect a war statement in consequence sooner or later. I don't think just doing or saying nothing and letting them all blow each other up is very wise though, and to be honest every indication suggests they cannot settle these passionate issues on their own, and now the whole area has far too many destructive weapons to begin with.
All you guys are saying is there is no right answer...maybe there is no right answer and the leaders are doing what can be done in the circumstance and everybody just needs to live with it.

The right answer is to give Israel a five mile deep stretch across our southern border in exchange for them policing the border and evacuating the Holy Land. Then grant amnesty.A win/win/win.
