So you're saying all the black commedians and probably your own friends who laugh at black jokes and call themselves racial slurs are right-wing Republicans? Talk about delusional!
Really?? And evenif they do, is that justification for you? As if white comedians have never done similar, long before blacks were even allowed into show business, let alone in front of a TV camera where you could express racially biased denegration?

Not so fast.....go back to the 2008 PRIMARY. Blacks voted for Obama (black) 90% to Hillary (white) 10%. Sure walks, talks and sounds like racism to me.

That wouldn't surprise me one bit. The blacks of the baby boomer generation are some of the nicest people I have ever met in my life. The current generation of blacks (and whites) are to a large extent godless slaves to materialism, sports, celebrities, and mass media. Careers and "things" are more important than family, and I don't think I even have to go into detail there. Divorce has gotten out of control, and it has psychologically scarred many of our young.

All in all, I do not think many young blacks (or whites) are religious. Our new religions are football, pop culture, and conspicuous consumption.

Every time that has ever occurred and the person has revealed themselves to be political, they are revealed to be right-wing Republicans. Every single time.
That's funny because every time I hear racist remarks it comes from Democrats. And they are definitely not jokes.

You wouldn't be able to tell by all of the trembling pink fingers pecking out white supremacist and/or scared white suburban paranoia on these forums. That being said. You can't paint everyone with the same brush. There are good hearted people in this country that vote on both sides of party lines. Generalizations are just that: not representative of everyone.

From the OP...

This isn't the first time I've heard this, this is the left's usual attack against the GOP, but the caller went on to make the point that every Republican was a worthless racist and he wouldn't even vote for one for dog-catcher.

Listening to the vehemence in the caller's voice it occurred to me that maybe it's time for the GOP to take a page out of the Obama playbook. Since 93% of the black vote went to Obama, and the Obama campaign made the decision to sucessfully abandon the white working class The Future of the Obama Coalition - NYTimes.com it's time for the GOP to do the same thing and give up on the black community.

Since Obama has sucessfully divided this country along racial lines creating rifts that will probably last generations, I suggest the GOP forget the black vote and pursue the Latino vote instead. In my daily interactions with the Latino community I see a hard-working entrepenurial class that is family-friendly and conservative by instinct, but is put off by the GOP's embrace of strict immigration policies, thus easily seduced by any baubles the Democrats dangle in front of them.

That would mean abandoning the Sheriff Joe Arpaio types and alienating a segment of the vote, but IMO it would easily be made up by an influx of Latino votes.
The best thing to do is to put any racial diviseness on ignore.

People trying to negate claims of racism will never be able to control the claims of racism. How long have these claims be made? Forever - regardless of how people respond.

Gotta learn to let these claims go in one ear and out the other - and understand that what they say does not define who you are.

Most of the ones that post on internet forums are, but I don't think they represent most Republicans.

Internet posting Republicans tend to be more extremist and fringe.

I honestly do not care about the color of my government as long as it is a competent one. I have nothing against the Secretary of State being blue with orange dots, but she is a mediocre diplomat, ready to lie for political agenda. I am not a Democrat bc I believe things are suppose to be earned not giving away for free, or let us say correctly, paid by someone other than you. I came from USSR, and I know that socialism is bad, it make a wealthy guy poor, and makes poor guy even worse. It is nonsense that during last 4 years, the word "wealthy" became a dirty one in the country. Is it why people from all over the world come here to prosper and achieve? Watch Out! We are on the dangerous path. At the end, the whole country becomes worse. I came here 16 years ago and never thought that I can ask the USA for a dime. I worked my behind off in several jobs going through night classes with two little children. I make good money now and despise people who wait for the big government to give them something. We have to protect those who really cannot look after themselves, but I have a hard time to believe that we have 47 million crippled in their minds and bodies who cannot work and prosper.. We are breeding new form of slavery. DEBT, DEPENDENCY. You are really free when you do not owe anyone. and let me say as Alexis De Tocqueville said :" Americans are so enamored by fairness and equality that they rather be equal in slavery than unequal in freedom"

I have to agree with you on that last part. And so there it is. We must challenge black bigotry against Gays. The rest we must disagree on.

The torch-bearer "official political party of racism" was the Democrats for well over 100 years. This was true before the Civil War and it didn't change until the Civil Rights Movement landed in Kennedy's lap. JFK really didn't want to deal with it. He stood to alienate the one core region that the Dems could always count on winning: The South.

Under durress, JFK did the right thing and the rest is history. The Dixiecrats were furious and never forgave the Democratic Party, while black America forgave the sins of the Dem's past with remarkable quickness.

The Republican Party was stupid enough to half-heartedly court the Dixiecrat racist vote for a little while right after the Civil Rights Movement succeeded. It even sorta worked for awhile. The GOP has long since abandonned their experimental 180 degree turn on issues of race, but for some reason they just can't seem to wash the stains of racism out quite like the Dems could. I'm not entirely sure why that is, but it's likely got a lot to do with the fact that the GOP is the champion of higher income society and very few blacks fit into that demographic in the 1960's.

Since then, public reporting and public shaming of the South for their crimes against blacks has made them a lot less racist than they used to be. Some of your "good ole boy" racists are still around, but they're a dying breed. The whites in the South no longer votes straight ticket on race. Not even close.

The GOP isn't doing enough to court the black vote and they aren't pushing racist extremists out with enough vigor. They seem to be willing to let Stormfront and other idiots vote for them, but they want nothing to do with a racist agenda because these days, blatant racism is political suicide.

The Democrats have been calling the GOP racist every since the Democrats stopped being racists. Ironic, isn't it?

In general, it is wildly exaggerated, but politics isn't about truth. It's about perception. The GOP needs to figure out a way to change people's perception of them as the minority-hating party.
