It's a valid question. I didn't vote for him because I think he will do no good for this country but that doesn't matter now. Now I'm asking what good things he will do. People must believe he's going to do something since they voted for him. So what do you know that we don't? What good things will he do?

Yeah. It doesn't include people like my BIL who decided to start taking SS at 62 because he hadn't been able to find a job in 3 years and had no UI left or people like a friend who decided to just stay home with the kids when her UI ran out and she couldn't find a job. They don't count the ones who gave up and they don't count young people who never found that first job.

The way they report unemployment numbers all you have to do is have people run out of benefits to make the number go up.

He will spend our money.. that's good for him. He will do exactly what the white union leaders tell him to do. Blacks came so far but fell so far back.

THIS is one of the most telling threads on this board, when discussing politics and the last election. 65 posts. 7 pages. No specifics and no answers.

What good things will obama do?

Well, judging from the campaign he's embarked upon now, he will run around the country (sorry, "travel more") rallying support for his tax increases, telling his cheering base to "pressure Congress".

That's how he leads, by pushing from behind. As a community organizer, he's using his skills on a large scale but not involving himself in meeting with Congressional leaders and doing the hard wok of negotiating to reach a solution. THAT would be leading.

If my calculations are right, the current secular bear economic cycle will be over around 2016. So Obama will take credit for righting the economy.

Which he didn't. What really happened was the secular bear market ended by my generation having kids. Kids need food, clothing, shelter, energy, and all the crap the cartoons and marketing agents think they need. Then Helicopter Ben will devalue the dollar more and suddenly we don't have a debt problem anymore, amirite? Ugh ... morons ...

And if that fails he'll start a war somewhere. Probably with Iran.

Way to go Mr. I-won-the-Nobel-Peace-Prize

Seriously?!? Mother Theresa won the Peace Prize. Aun Sang Suu Kyi won it. Obama isn't even in the same ROOM as them. Not even the same league!

But no. They gave it to him because he's a "black man" (misnomer, he's half/half black/white) and the world didn't possibly think that America had moved past race. So in reality all the idiots on the Nobel Prize board did was confirm the longstanding anti-American slant among the world because they're all jealous of us. Pure and simple.

In short, he's not going to do squat.
