My thought process as being in the position to actually go through it versus your thought processes which aren't based in reality.
They surely are based on reality. You don't know me. How do you know about the women and children in my life? Asserting your assumptions a bit much aren't you?

No, she went through the entire ordeal. But she made the decision before having sex and held discussions about it... LIKE A RESPONSIBLE ADULT.
What is with the money thing? We aren't talking about money...we are talking about medical risk factors with regard to abortion and pregnancy. You don't get a say in what she does with her body because of medical reasons. Take your "financial responsiblity" argument to court...that's where that belongs.
Why is it always about your penis or your money?
Possibly a scare tactic of 'if women want to have the right to control their bodies and abort than guys will leave them high and dry and they have to pay the bills see how they like it'.
So you're also saying that the women are irresponsible and careless by having sex without dealing with the consequences?
Contraceptives can fail. No method is 100% proof and methods which depend on the user are more likely to fail (condoms, the pill, nuvaring, patches, depo).
I'm saying that men (who don't want to use condoms and sleep around) who want to force women into unwanted pregnancy/childbirth while disregarding the extreme harm that can come to a woman's body are arrogant and selfish.
Yea, I'm a scientist in early drug discovery- specifically physiochemistry as it pertains to metabolism and pharmacokinetics. I'll assume that you don't have a gig?
Consultant.
Oh boy...female scientists, engineers, and lawyers are the worst. I feel bad for your husband.
Clearly you have to give ultimate decision making power to one person. It is also clear that the woman bears the greater burden of the pregnancy as such while the man arguably has some interest the woman is always going to have the greater interest in the pregnancy. As such it is pretty clear who should be the tie breaker, which in a two person vote make the 2nd vote irrelevant.
Not in my opinion as it's her body that endures the pregnancy unlike sex which involves both their bodies.
I think the best solution is to advance technology on surgeries that can be done to extract the baby and place it in an artificial womb. That way an impartial third-party judge can decide based on whether the parent who wants the child can provide a healthy and happy environment.
Wouldn't that still be a medical risk factor? I don't really see that as a realistic alternative.

Until then, people can act like responsible adults and discuss the outcome before having sex.
