Thanks for finally admitting the true function of unions.
Yea...Imagine that. An American Company not being able to continue to supply the same standard of living to it's workers when competing with third world labor.

And both "House Democrats and Republicans" are A OK with the foreign trade policies with no tariffs, while every other country does have tariffs and safeguards to protect their industries.

Lot of traitors in this country that need to move to CHINA or some other third world pollution infested hole.

Their investors care about ROI and do not give a rat's asset about the safety of a supplier's job site in SE Asia.

Their customers care about getting their stuff cheap and do not give a rat's asset about safe working enviornments in SE Asia.

Those customers are not willing to pay a dime more for something produced in the U.S.
Those customers likely complain the loudest when jobs are outsourced.

So you want the unions to drive the largest employer in the US out of business? LOL. Amazing what folks scream on this board sometimes.

How can somebody who lives in S. C. think that unions can do what you suggest? Oh yeah, Obama did manage to use one of his regulative agencies to keep Boeing from putting that plant into operation, didn't he?

Most of Walmarts success is due to its products being made over seas very cheaply. What is ironic is anyone who claims to be patriotically in favor of US jobs, but still shops at Walmart.
The products are cheaply made, and while they cost less than they used to, the life span of most of the products is horrible completely offsetting any savings.

I know people that have 20 and 30 year old fridges and appliances that are still going strong, while an appliance from China is only good for a few years.

The Chinese and traitorous politicians and their cronies pocket the profits from substandard goods

Ding!!!!! Ding!!!!! Ding!!!!

No one cares some kids in Bangledesh died or will die. They car about how much money they are going to save and absolutely nothing else.

You have a FEW left wing fringe of the earth people who scream about it. You think those kids working in those sweatshops care what some liberal hippy fringes think? Go ahead, "fix" those sweatshops. Then, because the company had to improve the place and cost it money, they get rid of a couple of hundred jobs. Jobs those kids families relied upon, no matter how poor the jobs were. So now these families are starving, no roof's over their heads, and clothes on their back.

But hell, some hippy in Seattle is smoking his bong saying, "Damn good job man!!! Cool." And probably typing it on an Apple Macbook, put together in another sweatshop too.

Here is the thing that just drives me absolute nuts. Like the entire point and benefit of globalization has been hidden . . .because it isn't that obvious.

Sure you compare your life to those of someone working in a factory like this and your pretty shocked. Yet you do forget about the other options. I mean Sweat Shops are a step up from what they did before. Sweat Shops actually put money on their table. Sweat shops actually gives them enough money to send a kid to school instead of making them work in the local field.

These countries must walk, before they run, before they climb. It has happened before. It is happening right now. These conditions have been a huge benefit . . .it is the countries without this stability to bring these jobs that are trapped . . .Afghanistan for instance.

Oh and - every study I've seen show that at least for most companies I deal with, Kids aren't working at these places.

Its not about the sweatshops. Its about how Walmart has taken over production jobs in the US.
