Wrong, US does not answer to the UN unless it ratifies treaties put forth by it. Other than that, the US has no obligation to do what the UN says

Yeah, right. Perfectly free to purchase any of those if you can afford them. a lot of people cannot and the reasons are not their fault. If we take care of the poor everyone will get a lot wealthier including the already rich.

Paranoia motivates "conservatism". It is also why religion plays a significant role in their political system.
