Why do people who have no religion not understand that Islam - once they have killed off all of their Coptic Christians in Egypt..will then kill off as many Jews as they can....and if you think you are safe being a secularists...They hate you in the same way they hate Jews and Christians..that in time YOU are next...unless of course you convert to Islam...and you will if you want to live....
You would imagine that Obama would have some vision....but of course he is one of those guys that wants to unite the world. What about those that do not want to join his utopia - He thinks that he in time if he bribes the Muslim Brotherhood that they will be converted to secular humanism...sorry - but it is not going to happen- They will take your money and smile and continue following through with their agenda of world domination.
More like a hedge against Iran. If Israel did ever attack Iran, Saudi Arabia would look the other way. Saudi Arabian leaders know Israel is no threat to them but Iran with it's competing version of Islam and threats against the Saudi Royal family are a threat.
There's a reason that of the seven bases used by the Saudi Air Force, four are in eastern Saudi Arabia, close to Iran, and only one is anywhere close to Israel -- King Faisal Air Base, the only air base in the northwestern half of the country, and is home to only one of eleven Saudi air wings (RSAF Wing 7, training squadrons and the RSAF acrobatic team).
Many Arab (and otherwise) countries in the Middle East do a lot of anti-Israel sabre-rattling, but most of the fish they have to fry are with other neighbors, not Israel.
I do not see why the US provides free military equipment to countries like Egypt. My guess it is part of the military-industrial complex as defense contractors are the only people benefitting from the deal.
Besides aircraft, they also have 1000 M1 tanks; I find it ridiculous that the US is financing the military of Egypt, and any country.
Can anyone state why the US needs to spend billions per year on military equipment for Egypt?
We sell them to the saudis don't we? They are far more religiously goofy than the brotherhood.
While I do not think we should sell weapons to the Saudis, at least they are buying them, the weapons to Egypt are part of the yearly aid package; paid by the tax payer, going to the defense contractors.

Aid to Egypt is part of the U.S.-brokered peace deal between Israel and Egypt in 1979.
This results in increased Middle Eastern stability.
This in turn results in cheaper oil. It also results in fewer American military entanglements in the Middle East (except when we elect idiotic administrations bent on invading Iraq for now good reason), the need for less of an immediate and permanent American Middle Eastern military presence, the need for less of a standing military on a permanent basis, and so forth.
Not this order -- it is part of the annual American military aid package to Egypt.
Well color me red.
