Society is sick.

This we all know.

What we don't know is how to cure the problem.

Society Is Crumbling Right In Front Of Our Eyes And Banning Guns Won’t Help

Does America need to look at how other countries society get along without guns as a main stay??

The souped up killing machines are a reflection of this moral decay. People whining about owning instruments whose only purpose is to kill and maim.

Yup. They are young men with only home life and education as their history.
And both of those institutions are broken.

It's because we glorify law-breaking. The Swiss are armed to the teeth but have a very low rate of gun-related crime compared to ours. Why? Because they are an extremely law-abiding people. They recycle, they observe speed limits, and they store their guns and ammo exactly as the government tells them to.

But we rugged individualists here in the U.S. of A. are too proud and independent and stubborn and free for that.

There were semi-automatic or automatic weapons as early as the 1900s, and we did not see crazy young men shooting up schools and movie theaters, did we. Back in the 1950s and 60s, school kids would bring rifles and shotguns to school for after school gun clubs. Why didn't we see killing back then?

Seems like, ever since hyper active school kids, or just fidgety kids, were pumped full of drugs, and the feminization of boys in our schools and society started in the 1970s, we have been seeing a few of these kids flip out like this latest school attack.

The gun control nut jobs just do not get it. This is about our "culture of violence". We have violence shoved in our faces every day via the television, main stream media, video games and music. How can a child not be influenced by that? The hypocrisy of it all is that the ones more than likely calling for gun control and the ones that think that Hollywood movies are art and are not bad at all.

We play up gansta rap. We have TV and movies promoting violence at every turn. We have things like MMF/UFC that are main stream now. Even sports is not about winning, it is about destroying the opponent.

So if you think guns are the problem, think again. It is how people's brains are developed these days by the environmental influences around them. Add onto all of this the guinea pig element of chemicals (drugs) in society today and we have a recipe for disaster.

Banning guns will do nothing for this except give the government more control which it does not deserve.

We are also not as civilized as we think we are in this country, when someone usually does a gesture to be nice it is often met with contempt or we simply call the person weak. We are if anything a nation of barbarians that and well we have a certain element in this country always predicting the end of the world is in another few months from now. We have the media always glorifying death and carnage, all the while plastering the front page with trash about celebrities. Is it really any wonder why we are going down the road of ruin like we are ? We have the "supposed" christian soldiers screaming from the roof tops that if we allow gay marriage the world will fall, while the lunatic war mongers keep consistently screaming for a bigger military and more wars. We have the gun nuts in this country yelling and clutching there guns like they are there babies screaming down ANYONE who makes even the slightest peep about enforcement. Not only that but we have the greedy and incompetent politicians in the pockets of big oil/ag/business. Are food supply is tainted with chemicals and poisons, our water is diseased and yet nothing gets done because the democrats are either weak or they are also in the same bloated disease infested boat as the republicans. We in this country need to stand up against not only the filth that has invaded our government but the filth that comes with big money and unlimited spending.

Only then will we ever as a country know a little bit of piece at least !

It's not a good example to compare a small country like Switzerland to a large country with a diverse culture and people like the USA.

The guy in Aurora wanted to be The Joker. Didn't this Adam guy wear a Jason style mask?

Good Grief, people! How much more plain does it need to be to soak into your pea-sized brains?

There is practically no parental control in today's dysfunctional homes. Don't blame Hollywood, et al. You can't fault them for wanting to make a living. If parents would institute a smack-down on their kids watching crap, Hollywod would stop making it. They would find a better way to become a 1%'er.

And for those complete brain deads, note the 'et al'. It' not just Hollywood. And Hollywood, et al, is SECONDARY.

It starts with the parents. Both parents. If you're gonna spew them out, control, dicipline, and guide them. That's assuming you know how. We may already be a couple of generations too late.

It started with O'Hare and Spock. Who didn't see this coming??? Stupid, stupid America.

Society crumbling? Mass killings are in fact on the decline (they peaked in the 1920s, decreased from there through the 50s, steadily increased from the 60s-90s, and have been declining the last 2 decades).
