While on a much smaller scale than the horror in Connecticut, three more people, one of them a child, are killed by an idiot with a gun:

Quote:
Four people were found dead Tuesday in northern Colorado in what police believe is a murder-suicide.

The four people, one of whom was a child, were found at a home in a subdivision just outside Longmont, Colo., NBC affiliate KUSA TV reported.

Before the bodies were found, police received a 911 call from a female at the address around 4 a.m. local time.

"The dispatcher hears her say, 'No, no, no.' Then the dispatcher hears gunshots," Weld County Sheriff''s Office spokesman Tim Schwartz told reporters, the Longmont Times-Call reported.

This kind of thing never happens, except after things like Newtown. Right? I guess you don't read papers very often.

Yeah... clearly every incident involving a gun will be flogged for all its worth.

That said, I sure wish I had an answer that involved neither the further tearing away of fundamental American rights, nor accepting the slaughter of innocents..

You're obviously confused.

I didn't say the murder/suicide in Colorado had anything whatsoever to do with what happened in Connecticut.

My intention was to point out that three more innocent people have died at the hand of someone with a gun.

More gun violence.

Tomorrow there will probably be another story just like this one. And if there is, I will be sure to post about it.

It happened before Newton and it will continue to happen until we as a supposedly civilized society can come up with some sort of common sense solution.

Try to keep up.

Of course they have.

Perhaps you would like to start your own thread and every time you read of one of these incidents, you can post a link to the report.

Just make sure they are current stories and not just examples you dig up from the past fifty years.

Then you have morons like this...

A 7-year-old boy was fatally shot by his father outside a gun shop in western Pennsylvania, according to a Pennsylvania State Police report ... According to the Tribune-Review, Loughrey didn't realize that a round remained in the gun's chamber.

it doesnt matter that it is easy enough to make mustard gas, or nitromannite, and use nails and ball bearings mixed with rat poison to create real havoc is it? all you care about is getting rid of firearms, DESPITE the fact that they are constitutionally protected, and that they protect the constitution.

you also forget that there is real evil in the world, and it doesnt matter if there are guns or not, mass murders are going to happen because evil people do evil things. and until such time as we eliminate that evil, nothing is going to change.
