*Just a question. There is no special meaning behind it.
Would you be willing to give up certain rights in order to feel safer or more secure? How far would you be willing to go for these things?
Example: Would you be willing to give up your right to deny the police entry to your house if some type of study showed that 85% percent of the houses that police searched had illegal weapons or substances (Just an example. I didn't quote any real study)? It would probably lower the crime rates in your area and get weapons and substances off the street.
If I wanted that, I could move to any number of other countries in the world where they have less liberty & freedom for a supposed higher level of security.
Ben Franklin was a smart man......I'll stick with him.

It doesn't have to be that scenario though.
nope, i wont give up ANY of my rights as a US citizen.
Although I am a law abiding person, I have no interest in inviting the government into my home for a fishing expedition. Maybe someone doesn't like my city-data posts. Or the college I graduated from.
There is not one good thing that could happen making this easy for the government.
Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.
