CAIR obfuscates their real purpose in this country, which is to facilitate "civilization jihad" (infiltration of Islam in America) with the ultimate goal of Islam, which is to Islamicize America.
One tactic is the use of the term "Islamophobia" and "Islamophobe" for anyone who dares criticize Islam or dares to expose it as the radical hate filled religion that it is. They have realized the effectiveness of the use of the term "homophobe" against anti-gay groups and individuals, and have therefore adopted it as a tactic against anyone who opposes Islam in the United States.
CAIR was an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holyland Foundation case, the group that funneled donations from US donors to terrorist organizations, along with the Islamic Society of North America, the Muslim Arab Youth Association and others.
The Muslim Students' Association of the U.S. and Canada was also found to be sharing the InfoCom Corporation Web server, the company that ran the Holyland Foundation Website.
It is also a fact that "honor killings" are a common and accepted method of dealing with family members, (wives, children) who dishonor Islam by becoming too Westernized, (their dress, for example) dating a non-Muslim (especially a Christian) or in any other way dishonoring the Muslim faith. Many such "honor killings" have been recorded in the U.S.
I suspect that these "honor killings" is what was being referred to in the Mansfield presentation.
But you leftists "hear no evil, speak no evil, and see no evil" and like to remain in your little bubble and continue to believe the propaganda that Islam is a "religion of peace." It is not. It is a religion of hatred and violence, murder and mutilation for anyone not Muslim, or even for Muslims who dare to stray.
Ignore the young girl that was shot in the face in Afghanistan because she wanted to go to school all you want to. But that is the reality of Islam.

Seems to me women's rights are only spoken about from the left when abortion is an issue.....other than that women should be handled as they see fit, most likely as a voter "ONLY."

Agreed! If there is one side of the spectrum concerned with the rights of women, it would have to be the right. I happen to believe this is because the right seems to know what is best for women and is not afraid to tell women what they should do.
