would do everything in my power, and use whatever force necessary to protect them ..including giving my life. And I mean that with all sincerity and every bit of marrow in my bones. I love children that much. Feel free to keep calling me a paranoid 2nd Amendment nut though. Merry Christmas to you all!

You're just one of millions who would do that as witnessed by the principal and teachers of that school being exemplars.

Your owning a gun does not make you special in that regard.

I don't know why you need to admit this.

I'd assume most people would do anything to protect children to begin with.

Politics just brings out the worst in people.

You assumed wrong. The animals in the Middle East aren't people, right?

"TBIJ reports that from June 2004 through mid-September 2012, available data indicate that drone strikes killed 2,562 - 3,325 people in Pakistan, of whom 474 - 881 were civilians, including 176 children. TBIJ reports that these strikes also injured an additional 1,228 - 1,362 individuals," according to the Stanford/NYU study.
Based on interviews with witnesses, victims and experts, the report accuses the CIA of "double-striking" a target, moments after the initial hit, thereby killing first responders."

Oh and don't forget Madeline Albright when she said

I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
I'm proud to be an American
killing children everyday

God bless America and Merry Christmas everyone

Especially on Christmas.

Anyway, how do you determine a liberal's kid from a Tea Party kid? Do liberal kids where Hello Kitty backpacks and conservative kids GI Joe All American Hero?

I would also suggest that us gun toting liberals (there are about five in my immediate family) would do the same, even for kids of Tea Baggers (there is always hope that they will grow up to be better than their parents).

But having said that, and because it is Christmas, I do appreciate the sentiment that you expressed.

Merry Christmas or whatever.

OP, as a liberal, I want you to know I appreciate that. I also would do everything in my power to protect your children. As a soldier, I train with firearms quite a bit, and I'm a pretty good shot. I would not hestitate to shoot to kill if I suspected a child's life was in danger. I'm glad you'd do the same. Guns aren't just for conservatives. I'm a liberal, but I'm not a p****.
