When you gave the specious argument to ban the 2nd amendment you gave an argument that can apply to ALL amendments.

Which is why your argument is a bad idea.

I never said to ban the 2nd amendment. I said we do need to regulate guns

Pardon me, misquote. "Amend" the 2nd to fit your view. Same difference.

Guns are already regulated. What regulation could possibly prevent spree killings?

Its already illegal to supply guns to mentally ill people.

Columbine happened when there was a so-called "Assault Weapon" ban.

Cho killed 38 people with hand guns at Virginia Tech.

What miraculous new regulation would stop murder? Dazzle me...

You are deluded and misguided.

You will learn...

Government in this instance can't move without Congress and Congress can't move without Republicans and Republicans are gun nuts.

Obama and Holder don't have the power to force gun control through...

But in case it miraculously does happen well then meh...

I've practically got an arsenal already.

No you are and you will learn. The slaughter of a first grade classroom had even republicans wanting more gun control.

Then you aren't paying attention...

150000 people die every day. Nothing will change. Nothing changed after Columbine.

Gun control went DOWN after Virginia Tech.

Just claiming it will change is silly.

You: Its going to change!!!
Me: Why?
You: Because I SAID it will.

Silliness...

Don't laugh too hard. Keep in mind that you are giving up your own right. One day when you need it, it won't be there.

That sort of response is prescisely what I was talking about. It is impossible to have a reasonable dscussion, and that is why the list in the OP exists. Keep it up. You will get what you bargain for. Bear in mind that it may already be too late for you to control the discussion and the direction it takes. Thank Mr. LaPierre for that. Trees that cannot bend with the wind eventually break in half.
Reasonable? If you are reasonable you would know that any law that only regulate law abiding citizens is a bad idea.

really?
guess what? the brown bess firearm was the military assault rifle of its time, as all armies that shot firearms had them for the most part. that being said, people having civilian military lookalike firearms do not even have what the military has. we just have look alikes.

remember this, if you think this amendment is archaic, then try expressing your 1st Amendment with only a manually ran printing press and a quill pen. all others were not envisioned by our founding fathers either, and could not foresee its citizens needing those.
