I love an intelligent conversation. I wish I knew where to find one.
That sort of response is prescisely what I was talking about. It is impossible to have a reasonable dscussion, and that is why the list in the OP exists. Keep it up. You will get what you bargain for. Bear in mind that it may already be too late for you to control the discussion and the direction it takes. Thank Mr. LaPierre for that. Trees that cannot bend with the wind eventually break in half.
Reasonable? If you are reasonable you would know that any law that only regulate law abiding citizens is a bad idea.
1791 was a whole different world from our present day. That amendment was correct then and reflected those times. The guns used then were nothing compared to what we have now. The amendment is archaic and needs to be adjusted to conform with modern society.
really?
guess what? the brown bess firearm was the military assault rifle of its time, as all armies that shot firearms had them for the most part. that being said, people having civilian military lookalike firearms do not even have what the military has. we just have look alikes.
remember this, if you think this amendment is archaic, then try expressing your 1st Amendment with only a manually ran printing press and a quill pen. all others were not envisioned by our founding fathers either, and could not foresee its citizens needing those.
