I know my history and you're the one who's immature, thank you.
I was saying how it's ridiculous for gays to compare their lives today to those who were in the civil rights movement of the 60's. There's no comparison.
I'm not afraid of anyone. I just think there's waay too much controversy about gays in the media. They shouldn't be hated though.
Tired of the controversy?
Give homosexuals equal rights and the controversy will go away.
I could counter your post, I'm just not gonna invest that much time and energy into it, because everything you said were opinions just because you're pro-gay, not facts.
So you can start a thread that is nothing but your opinion on something but no one can respond to you with their own opinion?
Congratulations! You are Exhibit A for neo-con "thought".
BTW: If you think the Civil Rights Movement was nothing but people getting sprayed with fire hoses, then responding to you with facts probably wouldn't do much good because it's obvious you don't know the facts behind the Civil Rights Movement.
Google Civil Rights Act and Fair Housing Act to start your primer.

With the media that is. I believe it's a ploy to keep people from realizing the stories that really matter. However, discrimination of any kind is dangerous for all, unless this is harming someone like a pedophile wanting to marry a child or some disgusting ish, which is not consensual like the relationship of two grown people who decide to be together regardless of same sex. However, there are more things in the media that should not be in the media, such as these dumb celebrities and what they're wearing or wore, how fat or anorexic they got or are, if they have a warrant, if they're arrested, if they're out on parole, how they can't deal with prison or jail conditions, yadda yadda yadda. Now THAT type of ish is NOT important. Womyn's rights, and homosexualities, discrimination, bullying, the economy, even wars in other countries, what's happening in schools, etc. those are important. I just wish they would spread some of those threads around and send their reporters out to deliver the stories. But people are so obsessed with these celebrities and these over night celebrities. Love to live through someone else.

Why does it bother you so much? Gayness isn't catching like getting the flu, you know. Do you think that if you force gays back in the closet it will cease to exist in the world? If you're not attracted to members of your own sex then it should be very easy to pass by any coverage of gay issues in the media. I hate sports so I just don't read/view/listen any media coverage of said. Problem solved.
Yes, but it's still an alternative lifestyle. As in unnatural and not the norm.
Homosexual is natural.....same as heterosexual. It is a born trait...at least that is what I believe. If you believe differently then that is fine. I for one am glad my 7 yr old and 3yr old sons will grow up in a more respectful environment where everyone is equal and respected.
