Saw this in my local paper:

http://insidescoopsf.sfgate.com/blog...tip-at-cupola/

He said he didn't leave a bigger tip because he no longer has enough discretionary income to eat out.

But he did find a way to spend $37 on lunch for two at a fancy oops pizza place. But couldn't afford $8 for a 20% tip?

What a loser. If you can't "afford" a proper tip go to McDonalds.

I am on my phone, please forgive the typos.

Yet he had the discretionary income to eat out.
What happened to the "personal responsibility" meme?

I don't think that the patron should be required to pay for salary, it's not done that way anywhere else that I know of.
I mean, servers make what, about $2.50 and hour plus tips.

Another way the US is behind the world.

$37 isn't even two drinks for two at a decent steakhouse.

But he should have tipped.

So what...I would have left $4 tops.

Waiters and waitresses are the most overpaid job out there.

They don't need $8 bucks for bringing me my food and drink I could have gotten myself...PLUS their hourly wage.

Could be me...I get NOTHING!

Oops I thought he went to the steak place. It was expensive pizza owned by the steak people.

Anyway. He could have afforded $5 more bucks. He just wanted a fall guy for his cheapness. He had enough money to print out business cards to hand out as an explanation.

LOL. I wonder if other waitresses and waiters WHO VOTED FOR OBAMA are taking note. Just because 1 person was known to do this doesn't mean that others are doing the same thing.

Yep, Dems were warned and they just laughed. Who is getting the last laugh now.

The dems were warned that there would be idiots who:

1. Don't tip [adequately] when they eat out.
2. Take their concerns with taxes up with restaurants/wait staff?
3. Suggest someone eats at a McDonalds just because they don't tip enough at a steak house?

None of this is the democrats or republicans faults. People who do this things are just idiots and and there will always be idiots.
