Yes and high schools and pee wee leagues don't have the money to pay out some lawsuit by some idiot parents who decide it's the schools fault little johnny got a concussion. Heck there are punters who have joined into the NFL lawsuit.
The CBA is what holds the cards. I didn't see any players squealing about concussions during the lockout. All they wanted was money. Heck they didn't even get any money for the old retired vets who actually didn't have the type of equipment provided to today's players. The NFL gives these guys the best equipment, doctors, trainers, facilities, etc. money can buy. If they were so worried about problems with concussions why wasn't that brought up during the last CBA? All they saw was money is why. Now they see more.
Those old retired vets knew about blocking and tackling, not using your head as a battering ram.The NFL gets great tv ratings but so does FOX news.It pays to aim low.
NFL has been studying this stuff since 1994. It's not as if they have done nothing. You play any sport you take a chance of getting injured. I wonder if some of these shyster lawyers are lining up boxers to sue all the casinos and promoters who put on their fights? Or the ultimate fighter folks??

That is true. I've coached my boys since they were in fifth grade and we always stress the proper tackling. I remember being taught that back in pee wee myself and on. NFL wants the big hits and gladiator type stuff. Well the networks do anyway. Remember ESPN used to have the highlight rell "jacked up" during their pregame show that put all the biggest hits of the week on? They don't do that anymore. Must not want to get sued.
Personal responsibility. There is no way the NFL is or should be held liable for any of this. These players chose to play this game. They signed contracts and many earned millions. They made that choice to risk their bodies.
And the family now says he had "symptoms" for years while playing. Hmmmm, yet he continued to play. They continued to happily take the money and live very well. So again, how is that the fault of the NFL?
Even if Seau's suicide was brought on by brain disease from hits from the NFL, that means nothing as far as the NFL being liable.
This should be tossed out quickly. But then again, we've heard of people winning stupid lawsuits before. Like that moron who burned themselves by McDonalds coffee.
Not sure how you can side with the family in this. They have no case whatsoever.

Of course this is the land where no one takes responsibility for their "own" actions. Not to mention these players are well aware of how to lie about concussions to Doctors. I do feel for Seau, but his Family doesnt deserve a red cent.
if an NFL doctor allowed him or other players back on the field knowing they were not physically or mentally ready then it does not matter what risk the player knew about, they are legally obligated to not let them play no matter what the player wants.
Nobody is physically ready to play NFL football. The human body is not designed to take that kind of punishment particularly the knee. Are you for a big knee lawsuit for everyone who's limping around with bad knees now against the NFL because the NFL should have known they could hurt there knees and sent em out there anyway? That is the insanity we are looking at here.
Hood rats are always hood rats. Even when they make it to the NFL they are slip and fall idiots.
