There is no reason impoverished and disadvantaged women should not be sent to slaughter in the name of corporate profits right along with their brothers.

We don't need a thousand Jessica Lynch stories on TV every night.
So where were all those raped and sold into slavery and video taped women POW's over the last 10 years who served in Iraq and Afghanistan?

No reason why "impoverished and disadvantaged women" who VOLUNTEER for the U.S. military should be denied the career path of their choosing.

I guess it's fine for the very few that can actually meet the physical standards for combat. Just hope they don't lower the standards required. It was bad enough when I was in and there were guys that somehow made it in, but couldn't perform.

Good for them. If a woman wants to go out there and fight, let her go fight. Women have been in combat since the beginning of the Afghan and Iraq engagements anyway.
