Odd, that's exactly the point I was making about you.
what's more out-of-touch and irrational than thinking billionaire NFL franchise owners' hires are racially motivated? LOL. That's like stock brokers picking stocks based upon the ethnic makeup of the stock's board of directors. LOL!!!!
Ok, Lucario. Take off the tin foil had, buddy.
No, there is a difference. Very, very few people can play any sport at a high level. The pool is tiny and finite. It is important that owners get the ones who can, and it is important that owners can get the ones who can do it the best - since the best players make them the most money.
On the field, sports are a meritocracy. Off the field, sports are just like any other part of the private sector. The pool of people who can coach or negotiate contracts or evaluate players, or write press releases or handle a team's Web presence is much larger than the player pool. White owners could - COULD, not necessarily do - decide that they want only people who are like them, white men, to perform these functions. It is theoretically possible that this is happening, but I am not saying that it is. What I am saying is that it is appalling that so few people who are not white men are getting jobs of consequence - or any jobs, really - in the corporate side of sports.
That's what I'm saying. It's a huge disservice, and waste of that person's time.
Old Romeo got two shots and fell on his face both times. He's a helluva DC but just not as a HC. I think he's just too nice to his players. I actually wish the chiefs would have gone after Lovie to be the DC under Reid. If one looks at the NFL, like any other league, the guy who gets hired surrounds himself with folks he's worked with before most of the time. That is why the thing is a merry go round a lot. You gotta put in the time. Some of these guys started out working 20 hours a day breaking down film, taping ankles, filling water bottles for 10K a year and move up the ladder.
AS for Bill B he's a great coach for one reason.........Tom Brady.

There are I believe six black GM's in the NFL. I think the best GM in football is Ozzie Newsome. Not sure how many coaches are out there after all the firings here at the end of the season. The NFL isn't run by the "good old boys" like some think. We're talking huge amounts of dollars. Teams are going to hire who they think will give them the best chance to win at the GM, head coach and player level on down to trainers, doctors, etc.

Ozzie is outstanding. It's too bad he is with Baltimore. I wish we could have lured him back to Cleveland.

Coaches aren't compelled to go to disingenuous interviews, and some haven't in the past.
It's up to minorities to ascertain the effectiveness of the Rooney Rule. When we don't want it anymore, we'll let you know. Until then get used to it. Telling us how bad it is does nothing but raise our suspicions....not about the rule, but about you. Lol..
Clever, but not necessarily backed up by anything of merit.
But definitely clever, I liked it.
Back to the racial conspiracy at hand. You think the feds have any involvement in this one?
Never said a damn thing about a racial conspiracy and why would I involve the feds?
Again, If I didn't say it...
