Good old Jesse has requested that the federal government sent troops to Chicago since the Chicago police can't handle the gun violence. I guess he doesn't know about the Illnois national guard but would like to see federal troops enforcing Chicago law. I bet he doesn't even know what martial law really is, but he is certainly joining in with those who think it would be fine whether it ever stops or not.

So this is a thread about Jesse Jackson urging the federal government to use a power the Republicans gifted to the Federal government through the creation of the Patriot Act, but there has been no response from the White House on this topic yet.

You mean the same patriot act that was renewed overwhelmingly by both parties in congress and signed into law by democrat obama?
Hey, you can pretend this mess wasn't created by the Republicans all you want, but I remember after 2001 hearing the Republicans going on and on about how we need to sacrifice freedom for safety and the Republican base championed them on without question.
Now we have an Act that was created by the Republicans and you are trying to blame it on the Democrats for extending something that already exists. The Patriot Act isn't going away now that the Republicans have given this kind of power to Congress.

The Democrats could have killed it dead in its tracks.
