Why would they want to, it has already been created, the power has already been bestowed to Congress, they are going to keep it on the books for a long time to come regardless of which party is in power.

Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 (PCA) specifically forbids the use of military personnel to execute domestic law against U.S. citizens.

This is under attack with suggestions the law needs to be changed to accommodate 'modern' circumstances.

The Constitution of the United States.

This is under attack in colleges under the misnomer 'critical thinking'.

Presidential Term Limits

This is also under attack with Sholastic Online posing the question, "should the 22nd Amendment should be repealed."

Anyone see a pattern here?
Lets reach out to children of which the vast majority being under the supervision and protection of loving caregivers lack experience and believe the world is a safe place and we can implicitly trust our political leaders.

Lets reach out to these children and appeal to their insecurity by alluding the consideration of ideas that promote government expansion is intellectually astute.

Lets reach out to these children and exploit their insecurity by insinuating the consideration of ideas promoting independence, self-reliance and individuality are antiquated, short-sided and have been intellectually usurped by progressive education.

Lets reach out to these children and appeal to their better nature and idealism that emotional compassion is morally superior to rational pragmatism.

Rational pragmatism is hard hearted and evil.

Lets teach them that if the results of their emotional compassion fail, even if they cause more harm than good, the results are better than rational pragmatism as the fault must be in the execution rather than the premise.

The government actually has the power through the Insurrection Act, although it's only been used at the request of governors since the civil rights days. I think the last time it was used was in the '92 LA Riots, ordered by Bush Sr at the request of Gov. Pete Wilson:

Well, yeah, Greg, but they knew they might want to use it later. They will have to fight the 10th Amendment in order to get this trick done in Chicago or anywhere else.

Will they take on the Tenth Amendment after they blow out the 2nd Amendment. Surely you know that no law of Congress can blow out an Amendment yet. Yes they are after the 2nd for obvious reasons and the other 9 of the Bill of Rights are a strong part of it all.

Chicago has tried that one and found that it just doesn't work for them.

None, which is why he's just a guy making a scene and trying to make headlines.

Not even Bush deployed the federal troops in New Orleans against Kathleen Blanco's wishes, and that was a much more dire situation. He really wanted to, especially since Blanco was bungling the whole thing, but he refrained. Obama's not gonna deploy federal troops in Chicago unless their murder rate skyrockets and the governor requests it.

You keep thinking that is gonna happen, it is fun keeping the far right scared out of their minds, and the best part is we really don't even have to do anything because you guys make up your own assumptions of what the future holds for you guys.
