Ron Paul has filed a complaint with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), seeking control over ronpaul.org and ronpaul.com. WIPO is the arm of the United Nations that enforces international copyrights under an international convention.

"Ron Paul's name and his associated Ron Paul mark have become synonymous with the Complainant and his books, articles, public appearances, and political commentary," reads the complaint. "Ron Paul has no relationship with the Respondents and has not authorized the Respondents to use the Ron Paul name."

Given Dr. Paul in the past has supported the U.S. withdrawing from the U.N., is he betraying his principles by taking this action?

No, its the governing body over web domains and he has to follow those rules. These guys stole his name and deserve to lose it. In fact if I was the good Dr. Paul, I would demand compensation for having used my name in a website without my permission.

This is absolutely hilarious. His supporters have offered the site to him on free market conditions, but noooooo - Ron Paul is certainly not going to abide by his principles when it's, y'know, costly. Pathetic old man. And watching his supporters argue that in this specific case, the market just got it wrong - you can't buy entertainment like ths.
